Danica McKellar — TV's Winnie Cooper — Weds

Wonder Years actress Danica McKellar’s all grown up! McKellar, who portrayed Winnie Cooper on the long-running television series, "The Wonder Years," exchanged vows with composer Mike Verta this weekend, according to People magazine.

Though her on-screen beau Fred Savage wasn’t in attendance, plenty of her other "The Wonder Years" castmates came out to celebrate, including Crystal McKellar, who played Becky Slater on the show, which revolved around a young man coming of age in the turbulent 60s. About 150 people in total turned out, and gathered at an ocean-side church in La Jolla, California, on Sunday.

While we remember McKellar for her television career, the 36-year-old has gone on to become a mathematician who penned two books: Math Doesn’t Suck and Kiss My Math, both of which actually make addition and subtraction sound appealing.

Congratulations on everything, Winnie — oh, we mean, Danica.

I actually have her book "Math Doesn’t Suck"! It is my intention to actually open in and read it one day.

typo: open ‘IT’….. I don’t think I’ve made hardly any post today which didn’t need a typo correction. Either the eyes or the fingers are not quite with it today.

Awww go Danica.  Didn’t she write one of those books to help girls not be afraid of math? I believe she makes math "cool" and shows practical real world examples to teen girls using their new math skills. i.e. Figuring out how much a certain item would be after a discount…splitting a check in a restaurant evenly…as I think about it, I should get those books…pronto!!
