The Funniest New Yorker Dog Cartoons, by George Booth (Images)
Dogs hanging on lightbulbs, dogs on shabby couches, dogs on the porch, dogs everywhere …
George Booth has been creating cartoons for The New Yorker for 40 years. His new book, About Dogs, collects the award-winning illustrator’s best and funniest dog cartoons. Bill Cosby writes in the book’s introduction: “George Booth is so very, very wonderful,” and we agree. Click through the slideshow to enter Booth’s domestic drama — where dogs are the Greek chorus that points out how strange we humans really are.

A good laugh is always a nice way to start the day.
Thank you for George Booth.
