Waiting for my daisy icon to get flamed here…but…substance abuse is funny? Alcoholism is now an acceptable punch line. Wow. I thought there were some very, very clever ones (number two infact)…oh well. Just my two cents.

Ok I am confused - why would WOW promote being an alcoholic?  All the while this dog is wearing the American Flag?  So are we saying that America is full of alcoholics? 

I am not sure I agree with this winner - no offense to Joan Juliet Buck…

So did I. If we can’t laugh at our own or other’s foibles we are a sad lot, indeed. My brother had a dog just like this one named Fritz who was trained to fetch my brother’s beer and then was given a few sips. After about the third fetch, Fritz was one happy dog; I can’t say the same about my brother.

#1 This is a case of very poor judgement. Why am I not surprised? Substance abuse is nothing to joke about.

It’s not funny,

especially for those of us who have discovered that we need to introduce ourselves with the same words.  Possibly, the people who find this caption funny, might want to reassess their relationship to alcohol.

I thought the second one was much funnier. Joking about alcoholism doesn’t bother me - there’s a certain amount of gallows humor that goes with any tragic situation, sometimes you make jokes because you’re just sick of crying. However, the alcoholic joke only made me smile; the runner-up one made me laugh out loud!
