My hearty thanks to the hundreds of you who completed our reader survey. We’ve learned a great deal about what you all like to read and are delighted at the variety of authors and subjects that intrigue you, both in fiction and non-fiction. Many of you asked for more Q & As with authors, so we will work hard to make that happen. (Note that we just posted my Q & A with Pulitzer Prize-winning Elizabeth Strout, author of Olive Kitteridge.) You also asked for more excerpts and first chapters, so we’ll feature as many of those as we can when we review or feature a book. I wish we could give away a free copy of Mary Higgins Clark’s new novel, Just Take My Heart, to everyone who completed the survey, but we have just 20 copies that her publisher, Simon & Schuster, generously offered us.
