Bruce Springsteen Responds to Affair Allegations

Bruce Springsteen fought back against a husband’s claims that the singer had an affair with his wife.

Divorce papers filed by Arthur Kelly of New Jersey claim that his wife, Ann Kelly, committed adultery with The Boss. A Springsteen spokesperson, however, says that the "Hungry Heart" singer stands by the statement he posted on his website in 2006 following another unrelated infidelity allegation. That statement insists Springsteen is 100 percent committed to his wife, Patti Scialfa.

"I hesitate to use this website for anything personal believing it should remain a place where fans of my music can come free of the distractions that occasionally arise with the rest of my job," Springsteen wrote on brucespringsteen.net at the time. The statement continues:

However, due to the unfounded and ugly rumors that have appeared in the papers over the last few days, I felt they shouldn’t pass without comment. Patti and I have been together for 18 years – the best 18 years of my life. We have built a beautiful family we love and want to protect and our commitment to one another remains as strong as the day we were married.

Springsteen and Scialfa married in 1991 and have three children together. And, from the looks of this picture, are happy together.

What Bruce Springseen seems to have conveniently forgotten is how he go together with Patti Scialfa to begin with.  At the time, he was married to actress Julianne Phillips.  He left Julianne to marry Patti, whom he had dated in 1984.

This press response is probably to calm Patti down.  I hadn’t heard about this at all until today when reading WOW, so it wasn’t getting all that much press.

Methinks the man doth protest too much.

Just as with any marriage NO ONE knows what goes on behind closed doors. As with his first marriage, NO ONE knows what happened with that. The only thing we know is what was reported in the papers and on TV. Last time I checked, News papers and TV have been known to be wrong. Most of what they write is here say and gossip, it doesn’t mean it is true.

What ever is or is not going on is Bruce Springseen marriage is between him and his wife and no one elses business.

I just fine it amazing how people always want to believe the worst about people.

Please!  He not only cheated on his wonderful wife Julianne Moore with a woman of obvious loose morals, but he let the gossip mags catch him in the act and break the news to his wife for him.  You want to sleep with a married man, don’t complain when you get back what you put out there in the first place.  And to the commenter who said no one knows if he cheated, where were you when the story broke?!?!  I guess pictures of a man half nude with a woman in her nightie hanging all over each other in a motel room with the curtains open just isn’t proof enough.  If your husband is a cheater, he must thank his lucky stars!  But I’m sure that the fact that he left his wife to run off with the "woman of loose morals" (to quote myself) is just a "coincidence".

I believe The Boss. He’s man of great character. To say anything else without proof to the contrary is akin to bearing false witness.

Dahlings, is Bruce Springsteen married to Kathy Griffin?

Really.  Those girls could be twins.
