Candice Bergen on Steve Martin and Kristin Scott Thomas

Maybe Steve Martin on "SNL" two weeks ago. And weep? Just saw Kristin Scott Thomas in "I’ve Loved You So Long." OMG. What a brave, powerful performance. Just a sidebar.

I’ve Loved You So Long was amazing. All the performances were inspiring and beautiful and painful. How did it not win tons of awards?

I just discovered this website while watching Liz Smith being interviewed on TV.  I have to say it’s really a website I know I will enjoy and visit daily. So many of my favourite women contributors.

I do wish all the videos were available in Canada but a lot are so no worries.

What made me laugh today was watching Jon Stewart’s tirade about the learned financial geniuses.

What makes me smile on a daily basis are any and all pictures or videos of Clay Aiken, any time I see Candice Bergen, and my family.

i have a friend that sends me jokes because we both know how important it is to laugh. Years ago i read Women who run with the Wolves, and later i saw an article about the author in a magazine, she said that once at a family gathering the women were together, the men in their group, and they were telling stories, and it was the first time she heard laughter that came from within, like a belly laugh; the joke was that during one of the big wars, a general was passing through a small village in Africa, and the native women did not wear blouses or anything on top, well, they told the women that when the general was passing through they needed to cover themselves… as the general was driving through, the women were lined up on both sides of the road, they lifted their skirts to cover their breasts, and they did not have any undergarments!!!

just thinking about that made me laugh!!! i hope you did also!.

Craig Ferguson makes me laugh five nights a week.  Humor must be clever to make me laugh.
