Candice Bergen's 'Wake Up' Call

Candice Bergen
OK. The first thing I think of is my dog, Phyllis, who has usually shoved me to the edge of the bed where I am hanging, bat-like, trying not to fall off. Then I think of peeing because I’m getting up there — not as old as our Liz, but then, few are.

MY FIRST THOUGHTS ARE SHOULD i WALK BEFORE OR AFTER

Now I feel better my sugar went down and my day seems on point.

Should I eat the snooze one more time?

i have never given any thought about my first thought every morning!!

i’m boring, my first action is to look at the clock and then ask myself if i have enough time to meditate or do i just jump in the shower and go, in which case i pray in the shower.

Love this! "Hanging, bat-like…" is a great line. My dog, Jack, hogs the bed, too. I can definitely relate.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Candice’s post totally wins.

If it’s any consolation, MY dog is a CHIHUAHUA and STILL somehow manages to shove me onto the edge of my QUEEN-sized bed, in which I sleep without a significant other!

Also, I get up to pee first thing in the morning, too - in addition to going once in the middle of the night, usually - and I’m only 25.

Poor Liz.  ;-P

www.dailykibble.com Right before I get into bed at night, I put Isabelle there and she goes right for my pillows. Throughout the night she has taken her little self and spread out over the entire bed. By morning I seem to always have one foot on the floor so I don’t fall out of bed. Why is it I wake up exhausted and she is always so well rested? Why is it we hate to move or bother them and put ourselves out so they are comfortable? Unconditional LOVE. I wouldn’t have it any other way.

I know some of you wake up to the thought of cleaning up the dog business. Lovely. I never understood the dog thing.

Ideally, the dog should be trained enough to take care of its OWN business. ;-)

Not about my beloved dog, but I can’t find anywhere to post this, and I’ve always had a need to know …

Hi I am wondering if Ms. Bergen remembers making my most remembered movie.  I came out of the theater screaming and crying, perhaps because I am 1/2 American Indian (Unkpapa Lakotah).  I wonder if she remembers "Soldier Blue"?
