Carrie Prejean Miss California Controversy | 05/05/2009 12:40 pm
Carrie Prejean Photos May Cost Her Miss California Title (Video)

Will the topless photographs of Carrie Prejean that surfaced the Internet cost Miss California her title?
According to MSNBC, Prejean’s contract prohibits her from being "photographed in a state of partial or total nudity."
While Prejean insists the photographs were taken when she was 17 and were leaked to the Hollywood gossip website TheDirty.com just recently, the tabloid frenzy surrounding this can’t possibly be good for the beauty queen.
Since saying she opposes same-sex marriage at the Miss USA competition, Prejean has been the object of harsh criticism — but also garnered praise from conservative groups. Prejean also launched last week a television ad campaign with the National Organization for Marriage that showed her now-infamous response at the Miss USA competition.
Her answer, many speculate, cost her the Miss USA title. Will this latest controversy also hurt her?

Woody (what a name):
"phony, plastic & hypocritical…this is Miss Calif"?…….are you talking about Nancy Pelosi??
Well Woody (If that is your real name)
I think most people equate Bible Thumping, as you affectionately call it, with trying to convert people to your point of view or religious beliefs. She did neither.
First of all, let me just ask why on earth is Perez Hilton judging a female beauty contest? I mean what is this for lefting out loud? Queer Eye for the Straight Girl?
Secondly, She said, "I believe that marriage should be between a man and a woman … that’s how I was raised."
There’s some Bible thumpin’ for ya!
She also said she felt sorry for Perez.
Hell, I do too! He was like a diabetic in a candy store!
Breast implants are a gift to the vast majority of men not named Perez or Woody. What do you think 88%?
Not Nude photos Woodward, she was topless.
"Parading around a stage with her ass showing…"
Woody!
Are you saying that the Miss America Pagent is only for pretty godless heathens?
Dude, your argument is lame, very lame.
You got that right Martha….the problem here, is that so many people on this site do not know what a Christian really is. So, they hear ANY comment having to do with Christianity…not just "faith" but specifically Christianity and they go into an epileptic seizure….
Christianity is about being forgiven and included in spite of your failings, not because of the lack of them….
Everyone conveniently forget that she said that she was proud that in America, they have that choice in different states. No bible thumpin going on there…Woody needs to take it easy… before he pops a splinter…..
actually, saying she believes the law should reflect her religious beliefs means exactly that - at least, she wants everyone to be legally forced to act like they are a christian like her. so, wrong…
first of all, the miss usa pageant, and high fashion in general, are safe havens for gay men. you are basically saying that gay men cannot judge and form a good opinion on a womans’ beauty… why do you think that?
have you never heard of Dolce & Gabbanna (Domenico Dolce and Steffano Gabbana, gay men)?
how about Marc Jacobs?
Giorgio Armani?
or the endless rumors about the sexuality of Karl Laggerfeld, Calvin Klein and Ralph Lauren?
i’m not defending perez- i hated that guy before and after the pageant because he is a catty, jealous, superficial snob who lived his life gossipping about and degrading celebrities. but the fact that he is gay and male does not universally make him a bad judge of female beauty and human character!
……ew. that’s disgusting, martha. i guess the only thing good about women to straight men, are our big tits, huh? thank god i’ve never been with a partner, male or female, who thought my body should be surgically invaded for their superficial visual pleasure.
he is not saying that at all, he is simply referencing the bible:
1 Timothy 2:9-10
I also want women to dress modestly, with decency and propriety, not with braided hair or gold or pearls or expensive clothes, but with good deeds, appropriate for women who profess to worship God.
It does look like she broke the rules of the contract. These pageants always like to promote a "wholesome" image, nude/partially nude photographs definitely don’t fall under "wholesome."
She said she took the pix when she was 17, isn’t that illegal? would her parents have to sign off on that if she was considered "under age"?
yes she is - she still is a liar.
she lied that she had never posed for nude or partially nude photos.
Now Lemon Tea…a backless modeling photo is not a "nude" or "partial nude". You are just as bad as Perez and the rest of the maddening mob of gay activists that are attacking her…so obvious…
Good thing that this woman has more opportunities in life….unlike so many others.
Well…you have obviously never been in the fashion business. Otherwise, you be aware of the different coverings that are available for such a photo. The position of her arm allows for these coverings to be used and not seen.
She is techically backless.
But it really doesn’t matter…I could care less.
