Carrie Prejean Miss California Controversy | 05/05/2009 12:40 pm
Carrie Prejean Photos May Cost Her Miss California Title (Video)

Will the topless photographs of Carrie Prejean that surfaced the Internet cost Miss California her title?
According to MSNBC, Prejean’s contract prohibits her from being "photographed in a state of partial or total nudity."
While Prejean insists the photographs were taken when she was 17 and were leaked to the Hollywood gossip website TheDirty.com just recently, the tabloid frenzy surrounding this can’t possibly be good for the beauty queen.
Since saying she opposes same-sex marriage at the Miss USA competition, Prejean has been the object of harsh criticism — but also garnered praise from conservative groups. Prejean also launched last week a television ad campaign with the National Organization for Marriage that showed her now-infamous response at the Miss USA competition.
Her answer, many speculate, cost her the Miss USA title. Will this latest controversy also hurt her?

you sure do care. you’re all over this website trying to defend her and validate her lying.
lying is not christian - lying has nothing to do with fashion.
I care about HOW she was treated after she gave her opinion. THAT is the issue. Lying and fashion is the side show. I don’t give a damn about either of those in this regard.
A WOMAN was insulted, and verbally attacked in the most vile ways by gay men on the media. She did nothing to deserve that but state her opinion. You are only interested in you support of gay marriage. You allow and incite that type of attack by your continued attacks on her.
Its sickening how such a group will viciously attack a woman. And it is given a pass. She did not deserve that and it only served to make the gay agenda look just that much more outside of acceptable society. Not a very good marketing idea for supporters….
Being a Christian is to be imperfect, it is a religion that includes all.
actually this whole thing is about a private beauty contest.
and gays were insulted and attacked in more ways than verbally, in the most VILE way by straight america on the media. the difference is pretty little fake-tit california can get married to anyone with a penis for whatever reason - even if it is because she is drunk and in vegas. that is WAY more insulting than little miss cali being held accountable for her disgusting and homophobic opinions.
apparently so.
"actually this whole thing is about a private beauty contest." HA! Too late to back track now Lemon Tea…It is ALL about the vicious and rabid attack machine of the far left gay agenda. THAT’S EXCATLY WHAT IT IS ABOUT.
How awful…the things that you say about Miss Prejean…now she’s a drunk? WOWOWOW someone is getting desparate here…..
Tammy Brice an openly gay radio talk show host that went on RECORD to say that Miss Prejean was sweet, did a good job of standing up for her opinions and added that Miss Prejean did support the civil unions for gays as well as the states rights to decide.
Tammy Brice also said ON THE RECORD that the attacks were the work of the "gay gestapo"…so there you go, affirmation from a gay activist that such a movement exists.
But you Lemon Tea…you decide that it was "disgusting and homophobic"…NO it wasn’t, but as usual the far left liberals will use demonization of opinion to intimidate others to abandon their own opinions.
Enough is enough…we will not stand to be called these inflaming names and biased insults.
Marriage is between a male and a female.
Civil unions are for gay couples.
They have theirs, and we have ours. American….all the way.
actually… this whole thing is about a beauty contest and what people think about it. i sincerely doubt anyone cares about what she said or perez hilton said - they are bunch of fake-tan nobodies. as i have said before on this website, i could not care less what happened on the miss usa pageant and who won - it is all about the fake idealism of females, and how we are not beautiful as a gender unless we pluck and shave, tan ourselves, bleach our hair with toxic chemicals, force silicone blobs into our mammary glands, smear makeup on our natural beauty and starve ourselves to look like prepubescent little boys…. i couldn’t care less what miz cali does, or what that ugly fat idiot perez says! he has NOTHING to do with me or my personal relationships - just as no white person, christian person, or woman can hurt me simply because they share my demographic.
you decide that it was "disgusting and homophobic"
ah yes, her opinion was exactly that.
Enough is enough…we will not stand to be called these inflaming names and biased insults.
oh yes you will. as long as you seem to think you have any say over someone elses private relationship, you will have those correct labels pinned to you.
marriage is between two people who love one another. hundreds of churches, synagogues and mosques all over the world already perform and accept and protect marriages between couples who happen to share the same genitals, and those who are intersexed.
there are many countries and states that perform and accept and protect marriages between couples who happen to share the same genitals or whom are intersexed.
The American Way - Iowa, Maine, Vermont, Connecticuit and Massachusettes! Patriotic, justified, equal, compassionate, and tolerant. THE AMERICAN WAY!
god bless you kelly. you have a great day!!!!!!
No…actually this whole thing is about a far left winged "gay gestapo" than publically attacked a beauty contestant because she did not give public affirmation to their pet project….gay marriage. You know that….and have posted to that fact.
Birds fluff, they even pick natural ornaments to adorn themselves with. For a woman to present herself in an attractive way is very natural. Indians painted their faces and pushed bone into their lips and ears. Some are just more naturally attractive than others, depending on the culture and the standards of that particular peoples. It is natural process and has been around every since this world supported life.
No one wants to hurt you Lemon Tea….they just disagree…you need not personalize this as you do. There was NOTHING that Miss Prejean said that was disgusting or homophobic…so you really aren’t helping others see your point of view. Demonization of opinions is a left wing tactic that is best left in the dirt from whence it came.
Labels are what you are so violently speaking out against…yet..you use them ….again, not helpful to your cause.
It is a good thing that the gay community has access to all rights as an American and that they have civil unions. Traditional marriage is for heterosexuals and that is a good thing.
Many people have been confused and intimidated into believing otherwise. The gay agenda does a good job of spreading misleading information and framing this as a "civil rights issue". Heterosexuals need to educate themselves on the right that gays DO have access to. Also, heterosexuals need to be more interested in and seek out the opinions of the moderate and conservative gays. They would find common ground and many points that they agree on.
But that’s not what the left winged radical liberals want….
No, she can still be held responsible for the photos, she did pose for them. And what is she now, 21? She signed the contract for the pageant knowing full well she posed for those pics, so she lied, which sounds like the pageant has a real case to take her crown away.
The legal aspects I’m wondering about is whether or not it’s even LEGAL to take topless/partially nude photos of a young woman under the age of 18. Do her parents have to sign off on that? To pose for Playboy you have to be 18 and have the right docs to prove your real/legal age. Playboy doesn’t want to be sued for "child porn"…
WE are spending a lot of time talking about a subject that has no socially redeming qualities.
She is a beauty contest winner who has fake boobs and posed topless. She is anti-gay marriage and claims to be a christian.
She did not win the contest but she is getting a lot of air time as a loser. We will see if she looses the Miss California crown.
What really upsets me is that this thread is being used to bash President Clinton and Obama. They are condoning the behavior of Miss California .
Starry Nite…anyone that thinks this is about fake boobs and a topless pic are missing the point big time!
It is ALL about her standing up for her beliefs in the face of a rabid PC media and a special interest group. She did not buckle to the pressure of bullying of the libs, and they just can’t take it!
P.S. when you look like that girl…"looser" isn’t a word that she has to endure for long…nope…
Barbie the Beauty queen uttered some banal comment about being anti-gay marriage and here comes the loonies to embrace her and use her to further their cause. She is more than happy to be used. It gives her 15 min. more fame. She is not a rocket sciencetists and will not discover the cure for cancer. She is not mother Teresa by a long shot. She is another Joe the plumber. She is more authentic than Joe because she is a beauty queen and Joe was not really a plumber.
Starry….isn’t she a beautiful? So pretty…I am certain that her life will be full of more than 15 min. of everything..
You got the order mixed up there…she was ASKED an inappropriate question, by Perez (the rocket scientist?). Please fill us in on your cure of cancer, as I am certain that we would all benefit from your posts at that point…
She is Joe, she is a lot of Americans that do not believe the way that some of our population does. Marriage is between a male and a female.
ah yes, because looks determine success in this world for females. feminism has done wonders. *rolls eyes*
and actually, she was asked a political question, just like the others on the stage were asked about healthcare and war. the exact question was this:
"Vermont recently became the fourth state to legalize same-sex marriage. Do you think every state should follow suit, why or why not."
She is Joe, she is a lot of Americans that do not believe the way that some of our population does. Marriage is between a male and a female.
then take it back to the church and coddle it. leave civil unions for all couples to the government.
Yep…being beautiful does have its advantages…most women understand that..
She’s right too…many people believe that marriage is between a male and a female. The governmemt does not replace the WILL OF THE PEOPLE.
the government protects the minorities from the rabid religious fringe that attack the rights of others.
the government does replace the will of the people - ever since they had the right idea to free the slaves, protect their equal rights to whites, and when they extended equal rights to women - despite those rulings were against the popular vote.
and the will of the people varies, kelly. not everyone agrees with you - obviously. there are times when moral people have to protect those who are victims of immoral people - like anti-choice fanatics and bigots who take sick pleasure in judging those not like them and working to keep equal rights from them.
the government will prevail over the bigots in this country. thank god for iowa, maine, vermont, and all those other smart, wise court systems that will soon give equal rights to all people.
you have a great day.
The rabid religious fringe? Ha…good one…but it doesn’t wash. How nice that those who wish to pretend that they are married can move there. That is wonderful. Most people are just sick of the fighting and pouting by these special interest groups…not as many as you would like to believe think that it is an equal rights issue.
Gays have all of the protections that other Americans have, they just want the social justification of their sexual behavior. It is what this is all about. Gays couples want to be seen as "just like heterosexuals", it is not about rights. Gays have rights. They want the social affirmation that they are the "same".
They are not the "same", but they have the right to be protected by civil partnership contracts, etc…and that they have.
As you are aware of, there is a faction within the gay community that places a very high importance on bedding "straight" individuals. To those, it is the ulimate affirmation, to have sex with a straight partner. There is much to be said about this usurping of the heterosexual traditional marriage….it is all about self justification.
Gays marriage does not compare to slavery or womens right to vote by any stretch of the imagination. But then again, this type of exaggeration serves to whip of feelings of injustice…not relevant in this issue.
Gays have rights, gays have commitment ceremonies…they have access to contracts that protect their property, etc.
