Carrie Prejean Miss California Controversy | 05/05/2009 12:40 pm

Carrie Prejean Photos May Cost Her Miss California Title (Video)

According to MSNBC, Prejean’s contract prohibits her from being ‘photographed in a state of partial or total nudity.’

Will the topless photographs of Carrie Prejean that surfaced the Internet cost Miss California her title?

According to MSNBC, Prejean’s contract prohibits her from being "photographed in a state of partial or total nudity."

While Prejean insists the photographs were taken when she was 17 and were leaked to the Hollywood gossip website TheDirty.com just recently, the tabloid frenzy surrounding this can’t possibly be good for the beauty queen.

Since saying she opposes same-sex marriage at the Miss USA competition, Prejean has been the object of harsh criticism — but also garnered praise from conservative groups. Prejean also launched last week a television ad campaign with the National Organization for Marriage that showed her now-infamous response at the Miss USA competition.

Her answer, many speculate, cost her the Miss USA title. Will this latest controversy also hurt her?

"Looser"?  I’m sure she is much, much looser than she would like you to think, LOL!  Did you, by chance, mean "LOSER"?  I do think either word is accurate in describing this particular person, though.  You were probably much more accurate than you even began to guess, and I’m sure "looser" will stick with her as a comparison point, i.e., she is looser than a worn-out shoe string.

If being asked a rather tacky question constitutes an attack, what a delicate and wilting bunch you all are!  This is all about a tatty bimbo being in a snit because she lost and now her past indiscretions have come to light (just as the bible predicts, guess she should have read that better, huh?).  Nothing more, nothing less.

Oh Gramma….the picture is nothing more than a Victoria Secrets pose…so everyone can save the rants…but not surprising that the liberal mentality will attack on cue around here…

I guess that you haven’t been in country lately….there have been very VILE attacks on this woman on National TV and the web by gay rights activists.

Tatty bimbo? Reaaaaaly? My how women can attack other women…tsk tsk…and I am certain that she is fine with her relationship with God and her bible, but your concern is touching.

This woman has been smeared, attacked and drug through the media because the gay marriage activists didn’t like that there pet project did not result in a public act of affirmation….

and? she still lied about never posing for nude or semi-nude photos. age ranges were not given with that question, and she lied, and said no she had not.

My how women can attack other women…tsk tsk…

like you attack women who have unintended pregnancies, calling them stupid and implying they are all ignorant sluts?

oh yes… women can be extremely vicious to those whom they disagree with, and you show that perfectly.

Your hypocrisy and two-facedness is just amazing.  What is most mind-boggling is that I would bet you really believe the nonsense you spew.  You bray endlessly about "the truth".  What, of the things that have been said regarding this woman’s situation and the possible consequences is not the truth?  She lost a contest and has demonstrated that she is not a gracious loser.  (Make of a note of how to spell "loser" for future reference, so you will not call somebody "looser" by accident again.)  That is the truth.  I would bet that every single woman who lost has some specific point she goes to and says "that right there is why I lost".  And is probably right!  So, even if she really did lose because of her "gay marriage" comment, SO WHAT?  She could have just as easily lost for any of a hundred other reasons, even just because the judges liked the other woman better.  In every contest, somebody wins, and the other entrants lose, for whatever reason.  She signed a contract specifically affirming that she had never been photographed nude or semi-nude, and that there were no potentially embarrassing photos of her that could surface.  She lied!  She had been photographed, and sure enough, the photos surfaced!  How is that not true?  And all these comparisons of her photos to various others, clearly with the intent of justifying her lying, what is that all about?  How does that negate the fact that SHE LIED?  And how does coming up with any other lie, either real or fictitious, by any other person, again negate the fact that SHE lied?  As for being slammed on gay websites, what are you doing out on gay websites?  I sure didn’t know anything about that.  But what would you expect?  I would not go to a conservative website and expect to find favorable comments about Nancy Pelosi; why would you browse a gay website (and that is a question in itself, why WOULD you browse a gay website?) and expect to find anything nice about whats-her-name?  Reality awaits you, don’t be afraid.

Gramma…not hypocracy…just not something that YOU want to hear…too bad for that one.

I just love to "bray and spew"! And your silly comment about a typo…I would just let that go if I were you…not exactly something to hang your point on….but hey…if it FEELS GOOD…do it!!

I do not consider a backless modeling shot, embarrassing or nudity. But really, I don’t care about that much. Just my opinion.

It is ALL about the relentless and cowardly attacks from the liberals on this woman. It has been done all over the media, not just in the gay community. (gee…you seem to be a bit afraid of gay websites…) You know that the gay advocates have come out and PERSONALLY attacked this woman. FACT. So why the pretence? Because it isn’t honorable…

Instead of facing the issue head on, they are cowards and attack her looks, etc…typical of the left. Demonization of opinion, that’s what they do instead of dealing with the issue.

It IS hypocrisy.  You have two sets of standards, one for the people who espouse the same ideas as you, and for anyone who doesn’t.  Just think of the old saying "what’s good for the goose is good for the gander".  If the person in question claimed she had lost because she supported gay marriage and the judges were extreme conservatives, you would have no trouble seeing her as a sore loser!  You are only defending her because you think she believes the same things you do.  And now that she has been exposed as a liar, you, who claim to be a Christian, are trying to justify her lying!  THAT is hypocrisy!  That is the very definition of hypocrisy!

you nailed it, grammy. the hypocrisy that some people have is quite startling - and it is scary that they either don’t realize it, or just don’t want to admit that they know they are hypocrites.

How funny!!! How about this…

Tammy Brice, an openly gay radio talk show host has said ON RECORD that the attacks on Prejean were orchestrated by the "Gay Gestapo" and the far left wing framework. She also said that there are MANY moderate and conservative gays that DO NOT support gay marriage.

You gonna call her a homophobe? You gonna call her a bigot? You gonna call her a hypocrite? You gonna call her a sore loser? Like you do me?

She supports civil unions for gays,  as does PREJEAN. Miss Brice believes that traditional marriage is for heterosexuals.

Blaming the Republicans is ridiculous, blaming the heterosexuals is ridiculous. It is about each group having their own expression of partnership and union.

The truth is much more inclusive than the lies that are passed around on this subject. Sad that you thought it worth a try.

i dont care what other idiots have to say about my equal rights. 5 other states have intelligently legalized gay marriage. i could care less what some idiot on a radio has to say. i dont care that she is gay - simply because she shares a demographic with me is no reason that i would support what she says - that is not the way i operate, dear. i believe in the truth and the right thing to do. i don’t follow blindly to anyone who happens to be white, female, bisexual, christian, democrat, liberal or any other characteristic they happen to share with me.

i have my own mind, and that person is going a great disservice to her gay peers.

i blame anyone who is against equal rights - mostly it is conservatives and republicans.

Ya…you just want to continue slandering people that post in disagreement or even OTHER GAY AMERICANS. Idiot, she is not. Miss Brice is a very well respected woman that deserves her opinion, as do I.

It is not an equal rights issue…that is the spin that the far left gay agenda is putting out there. Too bad so many heterosexual voters did not take the time to understand exactly what right the gays DO have. Instead, they hear that they are homophobic etc…and panic into a yes vote for gay marriage.

The more information that heterosexuals get on this subject, the more that will understand that it is NOT a civil rights issue and civil unions are for gays as traditional marriage is for heterosexuals.

They have theirs and we have ours.

i dont’ slander. i work towards equal rights. you are the person who slanders other americans simply because you are a bigot who hates gay people.

Miss Brice is a very well respected woman that deserves her opinion, as do I.

i said nothing about you not being able to have an opinion - it is simply wrong and bigoted.

It is not an equal rights issue

yes it is.

marriage is for two people who love one another. hundreds of holy churches, synagogues and mosques accept, protect and perform gay marriages. 5 INTELLIGENT and american and patriotic state courts (vermont, iowa, massachusettes, connecticuit and maine) allow protect and perform gay marriages, as do other intelligent countries.

marriage is for all humans.

Miss Brice is not a bigot, she is an openly gay individual. I am not a bigot, I support civil unions for gays. You are slandering and name calling here….exactly why this entire issue has a life…Perez and other left winged liberal gay activists name called and personally attacked Prejean.

Hundred of people have been mislead about the rights of gays. They have rights, they have civil unions, marriage is between a male and a female.

No Gramma…calm down now….my only concern here is that she was publically attacked in the most disgusting terms by members of gay persausion. That is the fact. My opinion has nothing to do with her claims.

You can call me whatever makes you feel vindicated, but the facts remain that she was openly attacked with vile and vicious terms in the public media for her opinions. She should have been supported by women against that. There is the REAL hypocrisy…women allowing men (albeit gay) to call her names that no woman should have to endure, either privately or publically.

You are furiously attempting to find her guilty of something so that you can relieve yourself of defended her as a woman agaisnt those diry worded and intended attacks. Whatever works for you.

As a Christian, I know that we all sin and that one sin is no more worse than another. I am not so certain that she has been exposed as a liar. I have not seen the contract, nor do I no in what context that photo was taken. So I really don’t know.

What I DO KNOW…because I heard it…was Musto and Perez attack her and call her names that are not acceptable under and circumstances. The sad part is…they had the nerve to do it because they knew that the rabidly liberal left, WOMEN included would give them a pass.

That shows what they think of you all.

No it doesn’t.  It shows that they are just as fallible as she is, and just as lacking in grace.  I don’t think anybody disagrees with you that for the two people you mentioned to resort to name calling and insults undercuts their stance, their credibility, and the validity of their argument.  You can see that quite well, when it’s a pair of gay men calling a woman whose beliefs you support names.  You can’t see it all when it’s someone you support calling someone you don’t insulting names, though, and that’s where the hypocrisy comes in.  If it’s wrong for gay men to call little missy names, it is also wrong for Rush Limbaugh to call everyone who doesn’t agree with him names.  And if Rush gets a free pass from you because he is "expressing his opinions", then Kelly dear, those gay men get the same treatment, and they get to state their opinions too.  You yourself have been guilty, on this very website, of mean-spirited, hate-filled attacks on people who didn’t do anything to you personally, just won the election they ran in.  If the shoe was on the other foot here, and the people doing the name-calling were ubercons, you would be defending their right to speak their minds and bemoaning how liberals want to squelch free speech!  That’s why your argument is an invalid one; you don’t measure everyone by the same standards.  There is no reasoning, no analysis, just ranting.  If you want to be taken seriously, you need to do better than that.
