Carrie Prejean Photos on Website 'Mocks Me for My Christian Faith'

Carrie Prejean says steamy photographs of her "have been released surreptitiously to a tabloid Web site that openly mocks me for my Christian faith."
Prejean — the 21-year-old Miss USA runner-up whose remarks on same-sex marriage garnered harsh critism — said in a statement today that the images that ended up on the internet on Monday were "mean-spirited attacks."
I am a Christian, and I am a model. Models pose for pictures, including lingerie and swimwear photos. Recently, photos taken of me as a teenager have been released surreptitiously to a tabloid Web site that openly mocks me for my Christian faith. I am not perfect, and I will never claim to be. But these attacks on me and others who speak in defense of traditional marriage are intolerant and offensive. While we may not agree on every issue, we should show respect for others’ opinions and not try to silence them through vicious and mean-spirited attacks.

The statement comes after the Hollywood gossip website TheDirty.Com featured "exclusive images" of Prejean in bright pink panties and seemingly topless. The website describes the image as "Self-proclaimed bible thumper Miss California, Carrie Prejean, should start pointing the finger at herself for her own indiscretions … Looks like your Dirty photo shoot makes you a sinner too …"

Lets get this correct. She WAS NOT asked about her PERSONAL OPINION on whether or not gay marriage should be legal. She was asked if she thought other states should follow suit in legalizing gay marriage. That questions does not in any way, shape or form ask her to interject her opinion on the topic as a whole. She could have simply answered by saying that she did not believe states should follow suit just for the sake of being like other states. Each state should make that decision on a state by state basis.
Secondly….when you put yourself out on the worlds stage in a forum such as a pageant you had better be prepared for your past….good AND bad is going to come back to either praise our haunt you. If you have things in your past that you are unwilling or unable to defend/justify……you may want to think twice about putting yourself out there in such a fashion.
At this point I think she needs to get off her high horse crying "poor me". She seems to spend a lot of time defending her position. It is not like she is the only person in this country that disagrees with gay marriage. It is what it is!
Because everyone doesn’t share her feelings on gay marriage. Also, if you are going to be the spokesperson for some type of family related group (those that oppose gay marriage), you should expect some fall out. Once she made that decision, she should’ve expected that people was going to start digging around in her past. If she didn’t expect any fallout, she is terribly naive.
I don’t find a girl with breast implants, bleached hair, bonded blinding-white teeth (and who knows what else) to be particularly beautiful. In fact, I find her look to be rather harsh and unpleasant.
As for the "independent thinking?" Puh-leeze. Her most profound reason for her anti-gay rights stance is because "that’s the way I was raised." That’s not independent thinking. She’s following in her family’s footsteps simply because ‘that’s the way it’s always been.’ As for the "Christian" aspect of it? That’s called dogma. It’s not based on any rational or objective reasoning.
I could care less what her beliefs are. She should not be punished for them!
The Question was in-appropriate IMO! Unfortunately the better answer ( hind sight being 20/20) would have been " Other states have the right to make their own decisions"…and left it at that!
Perez Hilton wanted controversy to draw attention to himself….he got it! LIke he did not know that she attended a Christian College????…..it was his GOTCHA!
I’m sorry but I don’t buy it. I felt that she had the right to answer the question anyway that she wanted. She gave an honest answer. I don’t there’s anything wrong with that. However, she decided that the she was going to a spokeperson for a family group. She should’ve been prepared for the backlash from those who support gay marriage. She should’ve known that they were going to find what they could on her.
