Carrie Prejean Photos on Website 'Mocks Me for My Christian Faith'

Carrie Prejean says steamy photographs of her "have been released surreptitiously to a tabloid Web site that openly mocks me for my Christian faith."
Prejean — the 21-year-old Miss USA runner-up whose remarks on same-sex marriage garnered harsh critism — said in a statement today that the images that ended up on the internet on Monday were "mean-spirited attacks."
I am a Christian, and I am a model. Models pose for pictures, including lingerie and swimwear photos. Recently, photos taken of me as a teenager have been released surreptitiously to a tabloid Web site that openly mocks me for my Christian faith. I am not perfect, and I will never claim to be. But these attacks on me and others who speak in defense of traditional marriage are intolerant and offensive. While we may not agree on every issue, we should show respect for others’ opinions and not try to silence them through vicious and mean-spirited attacks.

The statement comes after the Hollywood gossip website TheDirty.Com featured "exclusive images" of Prejean in bright pink panties and seemingly topless. The website describes the image as "Self-proclaimed bible thumper Miss California, Carrie Prejean, should start pointing the finger at herself for her own indiscretions … Looks like your Dirty photo shoot makes you a sinner too …"

It isn’t as though the Miss America pageant is know for it’s liberality. It has always been the conservative Christian idea of being modern. Dig it, the wild girl of pageant history is still Vanessa Williams.
If it isn’t a beauty contest then a contestant should be able to answer any question intelligently. Perez Hilton did not ask her her opinion. A simple answer would have sufficed. Instead she raised a platform in which to elevate herself morally from the other women. Once raising yourself you can be sure of the fall.
Lying about nude photos is like saying you’re still a virgin if you don’t like the guy. If the photo reveals only side shots of your naked breast you were semi-nude because of the underpants (or hints of underwear as we call them here.)
As a rule Miss America’s seem a little bland to me, like America Woman lite or zero calorie. They spew their harmless enuff platforms for a year and then go were all former beauty queens go, oh I don’t know a reality show. Miss America Carrie Prejean sought to be a symbol of all good Godly women in America. You can’t do that with the tatas for sale as a VS model.
The girl is an opportunist. She lost the title, and now she’s grabbing at what she can to maintain her time in the spotlight, hoping that it will somehow take her to celebrity status.
While I don’t actually know what goes on in the minds of women who feel the need to climb the ladder of pageant titles, my guess is that they want and need recognition…they WANT celebrity status. To me, anyway, it’s clear that Prejean will do whatever self-promotion it takes to achieve and maintain that status…including taking the questionable photos and selling herself as spokesperson for NOM.
As to who is "mocking" her Christian faith, it is she and no one else. She chose to have the photos taken, she chose to lie about them, she chose to have the breast implants as a way of increasing her chances of winning the title…and she’s now choosing to promote herself by claiming she’s a victim. Her failure to take responsibility for her actions is what mocks her Christianity.
Bottom line? If you don’t like the glare of the spotlight…get off the stage.
When you speak about what you stand for and then act completely differently you will be called out to be the hipocrate you are…
Sweety when you finally own up to what you are, you will be accepted, until then you will be mocked appropriately…put whatever label you like on it but until your honest with yourself no one else will accept you.
Okay, I’m a proud Christian and I took some racy pics (done professionally so that they could erase the stretch marks, lol) for my hubby while he was away at sea. I did this because I wanted him to look at me when he needed to see a woman, not some chick who is completely fake and is in those mags for nothing more than to be eye candy. I did this for my husbands eyes only and I trust him with my life. I cannot see how one can bash gays for wanting equal rights, under the LAW but then completely go against God’s rules regarding porn. Mind you, God makes no distinction between "hard and soft core". Models DON’T have to model racy swimwear or lingere and if you’re a model who has "such high moral ethics" you shouldn’t sell yourself to the highest bidder. So, she can cry, " You hate me because I’m a Christian", well, if she was acting like one, we wouldn’t question her. Yes, I understand we all "fall short of the glory of God" but if you’re in the national spotlight and can’t control your tounge, you will be held accountable.
I’m always intrigued by people who seem to have an absolute knowledge of god, as in "god makes no distinction between hard and soft core." Does this same god make a distinction between racy pics like the ones you had taken and soft core porn? If so, just where does this god draw the line? And how does one get a direct line to this god? By being a proud Christian? Isn’t Carrie Prejean a proud Christian? Does this god make a distinction between a proud Christian and a devout Christian?
Religion makes me laugh, and those who think they know what their god is thinking make me laugh even harder.
Anyone can choose to believe anything and bury their heads anywhere they want, but trying to justify the immoral actions of someone else on the basis of that is just wrong- plain and simple. No one has any right to tell anyone that they shouldn’t marry and commit to someone they love. If there were such a right I can think of millions of so-called christians who perhaps should never have been allowed to marry and/or breed, given all the innocent children, women and men who have been subjected to horrible deaths because of religious beliefs.
I don’t have a story. I simply experienced what happens when our consciousness is separated from our bodies when the body dies. What I experienced answered many of my questions, and confirmed all my doubts about the purpose of organized religions. Not a single religion I have researched describes what I saw, and all religions are created by humans for the purpose of controlling and having power over others, because the vast percentage of humanity needs that crutch to get through life, thinking that something they can’t understand somehow has control over their lives. The indoctrinations and need to believe are so strong most people will ignore the obvious absurdity of it all and rationalize to themselves that thinking it’s true is enough to make it so. Unfortunately, it’s a sorry aspect of our humanity that we have yet to evolve out of.
As to my mind being open, sorry, but that’s a tired argument that doesn’t fly with me. You believe because someone told you something you want to believe. I speak from my personal experience, not from self-serving word of mouth.
"As to my mind being open, sorry, but that’s a tired argument that doesn’t fly with me."
Well, you told me to keep an open mind, I simply reminded you to do the same. My faith has nothing to do with my head being buried in the sand, it is my own, no one elses. I agree with many of your points, however, we will have to disagree on faith. Faith is very personal and belongs to that person. There have been many stories where staunch atheists experienced death only to come back as crazy In-Love-With-Jesus Christians. I am not technically savvy but if I can somehow get the link for the story in, I will. Just in case you’ve misunderstood my position, I am opposed to any belief in which one cannot experience 100% equality under the law and so I do not feel bad for the position Ms. California is in.
