Carrie Prejean Photos on Website 'Mocks Me for My Christian Faith'

Carrie Prejean says steamy photographs of her "have been released surreptitiously to a tabloid Web site that openly mocks me for my Christian faith."
Prejean — the 21-year-old Miss USA runner-up whose remarks on same-sex marriage garnered harsh critism — said in a statement today that the images that ended up on the internet on Monday were "mean-spirited attacks."
I am a Christian, and I am a model. Models pose for pictures, including lingerie and swimwear photos. Recently, photos taken of me as a teenager have been released surreptitiously to a tabloid Web site that openly mocks me for my Christian faith. I am not perfect, and I will never claim to be. But these attacks on me and others who speak in defense of traditional marriage are intolerant and offensive. While we may not agree on every issue, we should show respect for others’ opinions and not try to silence them through vicious and mean-spirited attacks.

The statement comes after the Hollywood gossip website TheDirty.Com featured "exclusive images" of Prejean in bright pink panties and seemingly topless. The website describes the image as "Self-proclaimed bible thumper Miss California, Carrie Prejean, should start pointing the finger at herself for her own indiscretions … Looks like your Dirty photo shoot makes you a sinner too …"

Last night as I scanned through the channels, Bill O’Reilly was addressing Miss Prejean’s persecution by liberals. Persecution, good grief! I’m sure Jesus Christ could identify with that, but wait …wasn’t he persecuted for telling the establishment they should accept those rejected by their society? Then it was there again after I poured my first cup of coffee, Carrie Prejean and her fake agenda of synthetic boobs, synthetic grievances, against a synthetic beauty pageant world, journalists fake concern over the issues presented by this controversy. Who skips by in this the owner of the pageant Donald Trump…what a pal of women.
Somewhere in this chain of beauty contest authority he gives a girl the opportunity for bigger boobs and string bikinis out of sheer benevelonce and love of the female. Somewhere in the time in which we live, Donald maintains a respected reputation while donning his fake hair and spewing stupid comments about every panel member of the View (during the Rosie controversy) and leading our country in defining what it is to be a beautiful American woman.
Miss Prejean’s opinion only becomes relevant to any news, if the listener or reader reads between the lines. In our generation, if one disagrees in anyway with what christianity has become, they are now identified by the christian right as persecutors of the faithful, enemies of righteousness and such.
It’s really a twist of fate to see all the righties defending someone because they don’t have anyone else to crucify right now. Our president is walking the line for our country, so they are going after liberals at large having just realized they are not the silent majority, but the silent majority finally spoke up in 2008 and let everyone know this is the way we want our country to work. They’re scared…O’Reilly actually called for the help of the ACLU and NOW to speak up for poor persecuted Carrie.
As for Miss Prejean, I hope she has enough attention to satisfy her for a while and that she quits throwing rocks at her "persecutors". I don’t feel sorry for her methinks beauty queens thrive on being the center of attention.
I would certainly think that anyone involved in the world of beauty pageants would know that you are supposed to be representative of ALL people of your state…not just a group that seeks to deny people equal treatment under the law, simply because you disagree with them. I know it’s hard for people such as Ms. Prejean to accept, but if you take away their religious reasoning, there is no valid LEGAL reason to deny gays the right to marry. No one is forcing these religions to perform gay marriages (at least not that I’ve heard).
"C. Aune, how is she a hypocrite? Because she feels marriage is between a man and a woman but will model and pose for pictures? How is that being a hypocrite? Please explain b/c Im sorry I dont agree…" C. Hardy, 05/05/09 @ 11:43 am
Prejean’s been posing as this nice, wholesome, Christian-value lady, condemning the unrighteousness of "gay" marriage, while putting her body on display. Why’s that such a big deal? Well, lessee, now. What was it that Jesus said about lust? Oh, yeah! "If a man looks at a woman with lust, he’s committed adultery in his heart."
Jesus didn’t have a word to say about homosexuality, but He sure had one whole HELL of a lot to say about hypocrisy.
