Chris Brown to Face the Music; Rihanna to Police: Brown Had Violent Past

It’s judgment day for Chris Brown.
The rapper accused of assaulting his girlfriend, pop-star Rihanna, heads to a Los Angeles courtroom today to face the music. While escalating rumors and a leaked photograph of a bruised, beaten Rihanna painted a gruesome picture around the 19-year-old singer, these next few days will no doubt reveal the truth of what happened during a post-Grammy argument.
The L.A. police have handed over all of their investigation materials to the L.A. County District Attorney’s office, and according to TMZ, the case should reveal a devastating picture. The gossip website reports that Rihanna, who may no longer cooperate with investigators, told the police that Brown was violent toward her in the past. TMZ reports:
LAPD cops interviewed Rihanna after the attack and she told them Brown had been violent toward her in the past and that the attacks were getting "more violent" as time went on. The interview is potent evidence if the L.A. County DA charges Brown with felony domestic battery, and that could happen as early as today.
And there’s something else. The photo that TMZ obtained showing Rihanna battered, bloody and bruised is mild compared to other photos. We’ve learned additional pics were taken on February 9, the day after the attack, and they are far more gruesome — the bruises and swelling far more pronounced. We’re told these photos show injuries that could be devastating in a case against Brown.
Brown’s high-powered defense attorney will have to work overtime to keep this from tearing his career to shreds. Lawyer Mark Geragost reportedly met with the DA on Monday to discuss a possible plea bargain. Under the proposed deal, Brown would plead guilty to a misdemeanor and avoid prison time. In the worst scenario for Brown, he faces felony domestic battery charges. Meanwhile, Brown has spent the past few days sunning himself in South Beach, riding on a Jet Ski, hanging with friends and according to sources, reconciling with Rihanna.

Belinda…If Chris is found guilty and he admits that he beat her to what those pictures showed, would you still feel this way, "GOOD FOR CHRIS"…
I am truly shocked that you feel he was justified in hitting her, regardless of who threw the first punch. So if you were dating a man and got into a disagreement and you slapped him, and he beat the crap out of you, you would still feel it was justified or worse yet, a man does that to your neice in your avator? I am sure you would feel different…
