Is David Hasselhoff's Wife, Pamela Bach, Telling the Truth About His Drinking?
Pamela Bach claims to have received a worrisome phone call about estranged husband David Hasselhoff being nearly dead from drinking, but now some wonder whether or not she’s telling the truth.
Bach — the estranged wife of David Hasselhoff — says she got a call from the couple’s 16-year-old daughter saying dad was passed out drunk on the floor of his California home, reports RadarOnline.com. Bach rushed to Hasselhoff’s house and drove him to the hospital for an apparent case of alcohol poisoning. RadarOnline.com says the "America’s Got Talent" judge had a blood-alcohol-content level of .39; you only need a .08 to be considered a drunk driver in California. Daughter Hayley reportedly had to keep slapping The Hoff’s face to keep him alive.
The couple’s estrangement has been far from pretty, and TMZ reports that Bach is greatly exaggerating what happened since she’s "on the warpath." The Web site says there was a "squabble" between Hasselfhoff and Hayley on Saturday, and that he was drinking, "but nowhere hear the level that his ex is painting it," and he drove himself to the hospital and was released a day later. "The Hoff had not been feeling well, and the illness, combined with the alcohol, made a trip to the hospital prudent," says TMZ.

Even though, he may have had a low BAQ on this occassion, he has a serious problem with alcohol that should not be diminished in any way. As the spouse of an alcoholic (at the moment estranged), I sympathise with her decision to take action and get him to a hospital, and to make public her choice, instead of covering up for him. Whatever her motives, the man needs to get out of denial and his support system needs to stop helping him prolong that denial. I hope he gets help.
I"m hoping that noone from the nanchan wild days is reading this post but…….
Once upon a time, in a land far far away, nanchan knew several people well acquainted with the Hoff. In fact, one was his girlfriend of many years. She had been with the Hoff, as mentioned, for years. Because of this, nanchan and her wide circle of friends became well aware of him, his career, etc. Although we all made fun of him for talking to a car, and becoming a GOD in Germany, we knew he loved our friend and accepted him.
Well, imagine our surprise when he married Pamela and didn’t even bother to tell our friend until AFTER the wedding! We all decided then and there to boycott Hoff. Although at a certain person’s hen night (bachlorette party), I did gift her with three CDs of Hoffs I bought while in Deutschland…. just a way for us all to laugh more at this yahoo.
Fast forward many many years. I still can’t look at that guy without remembering him bailing on his girlfriend, who had been with him in his "struggling" days.
Back on topic? Pamela honey, live by the sword, die by the… well never mind. David is a dog… you don’t have to help him along with his self destructive streak. David, get with the program and realize that you have to treat people RIGHT if you want to get on with your life. You deserve every bit of this. Learn to treat people right and MAYBE they won’t call the National Enquirer every time you flip out… and by the way, what kind of example are you giving that daughter of yours???
thank you, thank you for actually printing something truthful instead of all these stupid gossip columns that go on about his drinking, when it only makes him feel worse. if you have been following their divorce like i have, you would know that pamela bach is crazy and on the warpath. david’s fans don’t even like her. she is always trying to be in the spotlight, always trying to get attention no matter what. she even accused david of abuse, which is completely false. if you knew the man, he is incapable of ever striking a woman.
thank you, wowowow.
"david’s fans don’t even like her."
Not sure what that proves; fans tend to stick by their idol, even if he/she is wrong — and not an estranged spouse. Therefore, his fans not liking her seems to indicate exactly nothing, as it is pretty much to be expected.
"if you knew the man, he is incapable of ever striking a woman."
I’m curious how you know that. Do you know him personally? Well enough to make a judgement like that (particularly in light of the fact that some abusers live "double lives", and no one aside from the victim knows the "dark side" of their personality)?
