Deborra-Lee Furness Likes 'Wolverine' Husband Hugh Jackman in Costume, Chose Him Over Mick Jagger

Hugh Jackman may be the sexy, buff star in the "X-Men" prequel, but it’s his wife Deborra-Lee Furness’s bedroom habits and past relationships that has the Internet buzzing this morning.

Jackman, who plays the title character in "X-Men Origins: Wolverine," which hits theaters today, was quoted in the Daily Mail about how he and his wife of 13 years keep the passion alive. "Deb loves the idea of me coming home in costume because it makes her feel as if she’s having an affair in a good way," said the 40-year-old actor, who hails from Australia. "When we met, I was cast as a prisoner with tattoos and she’d say, ‘Don’t take your tattoos off tonight.’"

Sounds like Jackman’s a lucky man. He also told the press he did have competition from Mick Jagger when he and Furness first started dating. Jackman told Channel NewsAsia that his future bride received a phone call from the legendary rocker while she was eating dinner at his house.

The night my wife (Deborra-Lee Furness) and I kind of got together, there was a dinner party at my house with about 10 people. Her phone rang. She picks it up, puts her hand on it and she goes: “You’ll never believe it, but Mick Jagger is sitting in a limo outside your house, and my friend’s in the limo, and they want me to go and party with them right now.”

Now I had a crush on Deb, but I’m a massive Rolling Stones fan. The idea of Mick Jagger being outside my house in Melbourne, Australia, was just so surreal, and I was like: “If you don’t get in that car now, I’m gonna kill you. That is unbelievable!”

And she listened to me and she said: “Tell Mick Jagger I’m having dinner with Hugh Jackman.” And she hung up the phone!
We think she made a wise choice. However, ever since Jackman played the gay character Peter Allen in "The Boy From Oz" and expressed his softer-side when he hosted the Oscars, the super buff actor has taken some slack about his masculinity. Perhaps these new stories will quell those rumors.

There was like a "contest" here? I’d call the choice a "no brainer" and I’ve been around since Mick really was a pup!

Let’s see scrawny lil’ Mick Jagger or big, strapping, good looking and equally as talented Hugh Jackman…that was a no brainer…

Well, all I can say is…Mick Jagger?  No contest…Hugh Jackman was the wisest choice.  But I must say, if I was married to Hugh Jackman, he wouldn’t need to come home in costume…HE would be all I needed or wanted in a man…I wouldn’t need to feel like I was having an affair, even if it was in a "good way"….oh well…to each his own!!
