"Desperate Housewives" will soon have a sister show starring Lily Tomlin and Kathryn Joosten.

Producers were apparently overwhelmed by the positive response for such a show, which would star the women as mystery-solving sisters, sources tell the New York Post. There’s no surprise here that people are excited — Joosten’s Karen McCluskey and Tomlin’s Roberta McCluskey have been a riot this season as they tried to dig up dirt on evildoer Dave.

Speaking of Dave — did you see last night’s episode, during which he sought to make good on killing young MJ Delfino? We won’t give anything away, but these two hours are evidence of why the show continues to be a ratings hit.
