Dev Patel's Mom Confirms Son's Puppy Love With 'Slumdog' Star Freida Pinto
Dev Patel and Freida Pinto, who played loves in ‘Slumdog Millionaire,’ have chemistry offscreen, too.

The rumors of puppy love between "Slumdog Millionaire" stars Dev Patel and Freida Pinto are indeed true. The young man’s mother confirmed the romance to the The Daily Mirror — and beamed with excitement.
"First it was the film and now everything else seems to have slotted into place," said Anita Patel. "Life can’t get any better for him. Freida is really beautiful and I am really happy for them. Yes, we knew he was flying to Israel to see her."
Patel, 18, and Pinto, 24, have denied dating rumors ever since they played on-screen lovers in the award-winning film taped in the slums of Mumbai. Just last week the two were photographed on a romantic lunch date in Israel, which is where Pinto is filming a new movie.
