I’m an insomniac. I always find the best short documentaries and travel shows late at night on PBS. I also get replays of the NewsHour and Charlie Rose in case I miss them earlier in the evening. My only problem is if I stay up beyond 2AM. If I do I am awake until the following night. If you read my post on ‘What I hear outside my house at night,’ you’ll understand what else I do in the middle of the night. CA
I like the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson. I had never heard of it before I was laid off. I never watch television during the day—I am a great fan of walking for miles when I have problems (it helps!)—but this show has a strange attraction.
I’m a night owl, never going to bed before 2, so the TV is on, but don’t always watch it as am reading at times.. Lately I’ve been watching The Golden Girls and find I enjoy it as much as I did when it was new. Sometimes I go to On Demand and pick up something I missed earlier. too.
When I have the television on, I watch the nightlyBBC World News on PBS at 10 pm. And, I will ocassionaly watch LETTERMAN afterward. Then I switch to PBS for CHARLIEROSE, which airs at 11 pm CST.
Live in an apt so have to keep the sound low so I watch more than I hear the late shows. Love it that Fancast has most of them available for replay the next day.
This is the time that I write letters to friends and family or work

and want to know more about it.
I am asleep at that time and I don’t DVR it because I would never have time to watch it. I enjoy when the morning shows give the Letterman lists and Leno monologue highlights.
I like Letterman. He is great with kids, and they are very at ease with him. Leno will be so missed. I just do not find Conan funny or entertaining at all. The one with the quickest wit is Craig Ferguson, but I don’t like his guest list very much. If there is a good late night movie, I’ll tune in.
I’m up at 5am and sleeping by 9pm. When I’m awake, I don’t have a lot of time for TV. When I want to watch something, I’ll watch it on DVD. I hate commercials.
I can’t believe how many people are up! I used to watch the tonight show or letterman when i worked swing shift. but now days if i’m up that late it’s for an event or visiting with loved ones.
