Often the TV is on, but I’m not really listening or paying any attention.  I’m usually either doing homework or catching up on work emails that I wasn’t able to answer during the day.  If I’m not (home)working, I’m usually reading a book with the TV just as background noise.  Or sleeping! :-)

I’m a writer and a night owl because of it!  I have anything after 10:00 p.m. on the TV as background to whatever I find myself writing or researching at the time online.

As to shows that I listen to (Don’t turn around away from the computer much) - Nightline, Charlie Rose, and Tavis Smiley.  Love them all too!

In the silence of the late evening, there is no better time to write.  My thoughts seem to flow out of me as if they had a mind of their own.  The chatter of TV is just that - well, with the exception of Charlie Rose - so I definitely do without.  Connecting with the other night owls on WOW after midnight is sensational as, if we hit the right subject, I think the silence makes us talk - oops, write - openly as we seldom otherwise do.  It actually might be fun to have a regular "night owls" group - a club of sorts - on WOW.  How about it?

My Husband wakes up at 5 am to get ready for the work day.  He manages to wake me up every morning because he "Can’t find" something even though it may be right in front of his face.  I would be a night owl if it wasn’t for DH, by 9pm I am ready to sleep.

Like many of the WOW posters, I’m a night owl.  I watch David Letterman’s monologue, re-broadcast of The Young and The Restless, re-runs of The Golden Girls, Fraiser and The Odd Couple.  I’m retired, and don’t have to get up as early as I used to, and enjoy my television viewing hours.  I am an avid reader, and split my daylight hours, between reading, volunteering and using the Mac.

I have insomnia, so I am definetly a Late night TV viewer.  I have 2 TEVO’S so I record lots of stuff…………..Then I pick and choose depending on my mood….Sometimes I re-watch something hoping I can fall asleep (since I know the ending……lol)

I used to spend lots of late night hours here on Wowowow……….but haven’t been doing that lately.

When midnight rolls around, I’m just warming up. Doesn’t anyone watch the Discovery Science channel? Or Nat Geo? I spend a lot of time there. I’ve already Tivo’d Charlie. He comes on here at 1: in the afternoon. Then every coupe of days Netflix sends me another great movie. I love TV. It’s a wonderful invention.

I watch online usually a day or so after the actual show has aired. And usually always during the day or early evening. Gone are those happy times when I could stay up late and watch TV and still manage to function the next day.

My current fave is Craig Ferguson - a terrific blend of insane, off-the-wall humor and current commentary. Also love David Letterman and am looking forward to Conan’s stint on Tonight.

My husband and I gave up TV a few years ago, but once in awhile I’ll catch late night TV when we’re traveling.  We’re in for the night, we’re both done with our computer work and it’s nice to turn on the tube and watch a bit of late-night TV before falling asleep.

I also catch late-night TV clips on occasion on the Internet.  Keeps me in the loop - our society revolves around TV and pop culture these days - I don’t feel so clueless when talking to others if I check it out once in awhile!  The Internet lets me pick and choose which clips and when I want to watch them.
