Doctors rushed to Jade Goody’s bedside Monday evening and warned the reality star’s family to prepare for the worst.

The cancer-stricken 27-year-old’s health has deteriorated drastically in recent days. And husband Jack Tweed and mom Jackiey Budden spent Monday by her bedside. Meanwhile, Goody’s keeping her two young sons away from seeing their mother so sick. Bobby Jack, five and Freddie, four, were under their father Jeff Brazier’s care.

Despite some objections, Goody left a London hospital last week to spend her finals days at home with loved ones. The British star was diagnosed with cervical cancer in August 2008. The cancer has since spread to other body parts and is taking hold of the young woman. Her spokesperson Max Clifford told the press that Goody is on the brink of death.

"We do not know how long she has left," he said. "We are on the edge of a precipice."

We all have to give money for cancer research to fight this horrible epidemic. Research is our only hope yet there is so little  money for research grants. I ask that people give whatever they can to The Sarcoma Foundation of America. There are over 70 subtypes and it is believed that if we can find a cure to sarcoma cancers we will be able to find a cure for many others such as breast, cervical, and colon. Someone you love will be effected so please give.

I am a survivor of both bladder and cervical cancer. I had a wonderful  team of doctors at Uconn Health Center’s Cancer Center. I had surgery and radiation. I feel for Jade and her family. I know some in England say their health system is good for some and not so good for others. Who knows. Maybe if she traveled to another country for treatment Jade would still be here?
