Ellen, Portia Beat Oprah for Preferred Babysitter

Lindsay Lohan’s mother and Courtney Love tie for ‘worst mom.’

Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi topped a survey of celebrities mothers would entrust with their children.

The survey asked 10,000 mothers which famous person they found best suited to care for their offspring, and the lesbian couple garnered 31% of the vote. Jennifer Aniston came in second with 21%, while Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt received 19%. Talk-show host Oprah only received 9%.

Meanwhile, in terms of "worst mother," Courtney Love tied Lindsay Lohan’s mother, Dina: Both received 32% of the vote. Britney Spears followed closely behind with 27%.

I would also take Ellen and Portia over Oprah any day to watch my children! They would have a riot with those two fun ladies!

I think Courtney Love has come a long way from the woman she once was and I hope that she and her daughter will have a happy mother/daughter relationship for many years to come. Dina Lohan on the other hand is nothing more than a money hungry mom looking to make a life for herself on the backs and talents of her children. If only Natasha Richardson had actually BEEN Lindsay’s mom we wouldn’t be hearing of the negative publicity that invariably surrounds her. Lindsay Lohan hasn’t got a clue who she really is and she has a very stalled career as a result. It’s a lot of talent going to waste and it is a genuine shame. I doubt the younger sister is or will be any better off.

I’d definitely pick Ellen and Portia. Just think of the fun the kids would have. I’ve seen Ellen on her show when she has young guests and she very clearly loves being around them.

I don’t know who was on the list but I sure as heck wouldn’t have OctoMom watching my kids. No way, no how. I’d rather recruit my neighbor’s German Shepherd for that job!

There is no doubt in my mind that those polled were taking a so-called politically correct stance! We now live in a hetereophobic society! … What ethnicity/cultural group was polled? … What was the sexual identity makeup of those polled?

I noticed the couples and singles mentioned were all of a certain ethnicity at least those mentioned here. What a crock of $$$$! … Ellen and Portia are two bigoted racist hiprocrital snobs! … Who would do nything to further push their agenda!

Oprah would hands down be my choice!
