ESPN Reporter Erin Andrews Calls 9-1-1 on 'Suspicious' People Outside Home (Audio)

Sportscaster who has been at center of media firestorm over Peeping Tom videos calls 9-1-1, desperate to get rid of paparazzi outside home.

If Erin Andrews were unattractive or were a man, would this be happening to her?

The ESPN reporter, who has been all over the news for falling victim to a video peeper when she was naked in her hotel room, is now making headlines for a 9-1-1 call she made, reporting that suspicious people were stalking her outside her home.

"I did nothing wrong, and I’m being treated like f*****g Britney Spears," Andrews told the 9-1-1 operator in Dekalb County, GA, according to ABC News. "I have been in the news recently about being in the hotel naked and I have paparazzi outside and I was told by law enforcement that if I did, to call 9-1-1," she said, later indicating her mother was with her. "My name is Erin. My last name is Andrews. I’m all over the news right now," the 31-year-old sportscaster explains to the operator, who said she hadn’t heard about Andrews’s very public situation. "I’m the girl that was videotaped without her knowing, without her clothes on in the hotel."

The men in the white vehicle outside left when police responded. TMZ says they were just news reporters trying to get an interview with Andrews, who has stayed out of the media spotlight since video of her began burning up the Internet last month. TMZ reports that Andrews has been "distraught and overwhelmed" over the whole terrifying ordeal. Well, who wouldn’t be?

You can listen to the audio of the 9-1-1 tape here.

This is a terrible thing that happen to this girl and if they catch the guy he should do some serious jail time.  He now has ruined her life and the Papparzzi as usual is no better. They should face charges as well if they do not leave her alone.

If the reporters were on the street , they were legal.  If they were hanging around in her yard, they should be hauled off to jail.  There is no excuse for that kind of behavior.  They would be trespassing.

Who managed to get that 911 tape?

911 can be made public on request. Some sort of law.

I agree - the tape was a cry for help from her and the media should leave her alone but it was obtained under the ‘freedom of information act’ which can obviously be abused the same way ethic complaints were with Sarah Palin …. I wonder what has been done to try and find out who did this to her? Apparently there has been no effort to go to the site that posted the video.

This goes both ways, personally I think she is an attention seeker benefitting from the "Paris Hilton" effect while still keeping public sympathy. A really layour for this is   www fmqinc com

Whoa!  If this person is indeed 15 let up a little. Dancing on her head won’t make a big impression. Just my opinion.
