Happy Birthday, you buggy little one! Who has ever been born so good-looking and so goodhearted at the same time so that through the years, they just grow more so and more so.
Candy girl, I have loved you since we first met when you were deciding what to be when you grew up, and I reveled through your successes, your happy marriage, the advent of Chloe and “Murphy Brown” when you made Emmy history! I think now you are better than ever – and then, of course, in your life was the fabulous P.S., Mr. Marshall Rose, who is one of my singing partners.

Here’s the thing, birthday girl: There aren’t many people who are brilliantly gifted at acting, or writing, photography, motherhood or marriage — much less all at once. But with every new life venture you take on, you make history. How great you have a fantastic family, you are enduringly beautiful and you are so, so much damn fun. What a gift you are to us of wOw.
