Publicist to Jade Goody: 'Enough Is Enough'

Jade Goody’s publicist wants the terminally-ill reality star to shy away from the cameras as her health deteriorates.

The 27-year-old, who’s dying from cervical cancer, has allowed cameras to follow her through her final days. But the attention has gotten out of hand, according to her publicist, Max Clifford, who also thinks Goody’s far too ill to carry an interview with the media.

Goody must be feeling tired today, especially after a nightmare of a Sunday. Yesterday, Goody woke to find a strange "hammer-wielding" woman standing over her bed "muttering prayers." The former British"Big Brother" star reportedly screamed in fright and medics rushed in and escorted the woman out. The attack came a day after Goody and her two sons were christened in the hospital’s chapel.

Clifford has now asked his client to shy away from the spotlight.

"Don’t you think enough is enough," Clifford told the radio station TalkSport, "Don’t you think you’ve got the message out there?"

Goody invited cameras from Living TV to follow her dying days so she could provide for her family and also raise awareness on the preventable disease that struck her at an early age. She also sold the rights to her wedding for hundreds of thousands of dollars to OK! magazine.

Well, it’s a pretty sad story.  But the publicist needs to convince her client.  The bigger question…how did the hammer-woman ever get into her room?  That says more about the hospital than the camera crews.

I think the Publicist is feeling the heat a little and putting forward his alabi, because he knows that the public feeling is turning a little as to how far the Publicity has gone. But I doublt if he really wants her to stop as he is getting a reported commission of 50% on all deals. I think this is more telling of the British Public though, as they are prepared to buy into all this stuff - pictures of poor Jade bidding farewell to her sons while being propped up by nurses and semi-concious. And how much do her sons really need and how much is enough? 1 million, 2 million, 3 million ….

That poor woman should be allowed to die with dignity. I have no idea who she is or what she does but she seems to be suffering from more than cancer.
