Emcye:  Your wonderful words kept me spellbound.  When I think of the time I have invested in participating in wow discussions, I must count that time in days and months, not just hours.

At the beginning it was a beautiful marriage of women and wow.   But the words of wisdom and the words which displayed humor, worth and viable discussion became words of hate, ignorance and opinionated chatter.  It is very hard to have a discussion when those type of words control the conversation.  The women posters of wow who really cared began posting very little.  Recently the posts of wow are a battle of words and are simply the arguers arguing amongst themselves to see who can write the most so-called brilliant argument.  With each post becoming more inciteful.  That is not conversation.

Thank you for standing up and shouting out that "women in the know" count.  I’m glad that I have participated in conversations with you and beside you.  I now miss those times.

*** Namaste ***

Best wishes,

Rainbow

Thank you, Rainbow Power. Mucho. It’s true that wOw is being provided to all of us free (must feel like a daunting, thankless task some days) and I know we all appreciate how wonderful that is. Sometimes things go out of whack  - and we’re all invested in keeping on course. Maybe Spring will bring fresh, new buds.

Dear MW….it’s really hard when you put someone/something on a pedestal…..

Just takes a little breeze to knock it down..

And we had such high expectations……. sorry for us…

We couldn’t have been more mistaken……

Dear All:

Just a note here to let you know that we read and feel most everything you write.  Like everyone else, we are working triple time in our day jobs (so many of us carry full time work in our own professions) and committed to making wOw "wow-worthy." We have been building out tools as we go along—-and have some special ones almost ready for prime time, we’ve been working very hard launching and developing ThinkUp, we are testing and growing new newsletters, we are trying to manage and expand our Executive "Intern" program, we are trying to satisfy our advertisers and partnerships  in a very difficult financial environment, we are strengthening our book publishing program and seeking new ways to present and, even, publish books, we are developing new sections for more interaction and creativity for your voices… we are, frankly, exhausted!

But, we are HERE, always.  Committed always.  And grateful to those of you who join with us.

 xox,  JONI

Joni, take a deep breath and then know we are all out here for you and the group. This is a great weekend for rest and renewal.

I live and work in a senior community and have been nominated (one of 36 woman, 4 men) a senior hottie. It is too funny. One gal is a former Playboy bunny. Coincidentally I used to play with bunnies. Some of the lovlies are in their 80’s. I have never been a fan of these contests. I resisted at first and then a collegue from Pen Women said it might get publicity for my next book which, in this financial environment is difficult to sell. My first book was published on the first try. So I wouldn’t mind support for my newest satirical tome, "Stretch Marks the Book: Ageless Wisdom for Sexy Old Broads". It is a playful /spiritual/erotic endurance manual. Being supportive, affectionate and letting my friends just be is my dating and living philosophy. I live by the credo that after we deal and heal the losses, disappointments and lots of bad fish, in fact not a shred evidence exists that life is serious.

I would love to be an senior intern and learn how to link my wowOwow bio and articles to this one.

I believe that everything can evolve from the smallest available portion you have, and impossibiliites do not exist. I am here to enjoy the site, but learn what I can along the way. Thank you for WOW.

Hi Joni, I’m loving Wowowow. Keep up the great effort & work. It’s all worth it. Can I network with you? I have written a memoir/biography as a first time writer. I am a pediatric nurse by profession. I have learned before a publisher will accept a book, I need to have a literary agent. I know you are the guru in this, can you please give me a reference on how I can get this accomplished? I would love to my book discussed on wowowow. Thank you for any help you can offer. Joni, what is the book publishing program?  It would be a valuable resource if you could provide your opinion on whether in this difficult time for book publishing, self publishers should use print on demand, or still go for printed trade as well as ebooks, and what about Kindle and I Tunes.  What are the benefits in this new environment for self publishing, and where are the resources like editors, marketing people and or distributors who can offer to help small publishers succeed.  I know I’d be willing to pay a fee for that kind of knowledge, (webinar) so if you’d mentor, I’d sign up to learn!!  Just a thought.:)
