After John Mayer’s two failed attempts at a relationship with Jennifer Aniston — who is nine years his senior — the musician is now trying his luck with a younger woman.

Mayer, 31, is dating a 23-year-old waitress/model. Scheana Marie Jancan was a runner-up in a Hawaiian Tropic Pageant and has been photographed for  Ed Hardy and Doritos advertisements. They met at the Grand Havana Room in Beverly Hills where Jancan was waitressing. A source tells Star Magazine:

Scheana was shocked and thrilled when John asked her out. She has always thought he was hot, and she said yes right away, writing down her cell phone number on a napkin. They flirted the whole time, and he told her she was cute.

Mayer and Aniston carried on a five-month relationship that ended in August 2008. The two reconnected in October, but the sparks were short-lived. While we wish for Mayer to find love and happiness, we can’t fathom a younger woman being a better lover than a more experienced and wiser dame.
