Jennifer Hudson Shines on 'American Idol' (Video)

Oscar-winner Jennifer Hudson returned to the stage that launched her career.
The former "American Idol" finalist performed "If This Isn’t Love" from her self-titled debut album last night. And, obviously, she hit even the highest note with the greatest of ease. To see Hudson soar — following the tragic deaths of three family members in 2008 — was truly a poignant moment.

Another singing sensation performed on Wednesday. The young superstar Miley Cyrus (daughter of Billy Ray) sang "The Climb," pulled from her movie "Hannah Montana: The Movie" soundtrack. Watch:
Also on last night’s "Idol," the judges exercised their power to veto America’s decision when they saved Matt Giraud from elimination.
