Joan Ganz Cooney on the Gift of Freedom
In response to: In celebration of Independence Day, when was the last time you really took advantage of your freedom?
I take advantage of my freedom every day just by walking out of my apartment house and going to my office and saying what I want to say — negative or positive — about our government and anything else that comes up. Our personal freedom is the most precious thing this country gives to each of us.

FREEDOM…………how sweet that word!
I can’t think of anything I would ever do to deliberately lose my Freedom.
It’s the most important thing in my life………..It allows all other things to happen that are wonderful.
I see so many people commit crimes and lose their Freedom……..that’s sad.
I often times think people don’t give it much thought, but without Freedom we can’t be Whole at all times.
I thank God each day that I am an American with the Freedom that our Country allows.
Be Blessed fellow Americans, today is the day we celebrate that which we hold so dear.
