Joan Ganz Cooney: 'Little Miss Nobody From Stardom'

Joan Ganz Cooney
The actress is easy although hardly obvious: Emma Thompson (so I’d have to have a British accent). The title would be "Little Miss Nobody From Stardom," which is what my mother used to call me much to my puzzlement. It wasn’t until I got to New York that someone said to me, "The expression is ‘FROM Little Miss Nobody TO Stardom.’" Nonetheless I always liked the idea being from Stardom, wherever that place was.

I can see Emma Thompson as you. A really good choice I think.

That would make a *wonderful title* for a children’s book!:

"Little Miss Nobody from Stardom…"

"There once was a lump of coal named Ruby who lived in a dustbin, a dustbin so full of soot and dust that Ruby knew she didn’t stand much of a chance of getting out of there without first being burned."  ; D

Okay that’s just my sick sense of humor : ) - it *would* make a lovely story for kids, Ms. Cooney.

I think it would take an actress who had made as much impact behind the camera as in front of the camera and the only one I can think of is Lee Grant but then I guess at this point it would be whatever actress played Lee Grant although I think Lee Grant could pull off playing an age range in reverse which few if any other actresses could.

Little Miss Nobody?  You’ve touched so many lived - and not just kids!  I watched right along with my kids from the beginning when Sesame Street came on the air in our area!   I love it even with all that has changed , and I cannot say that with any other show!!

Oh, and Emma is a grand choice to play you!
