The stars of the TLC reality show "Jon & Kate Plus Eight" have been battling rumors of infidelity and affairs.

For two weeks the tabloids have been running stories that link Jon Gosselin with a 23-year-old schoolteacher. Now, the media has given up on Jon’s alleged affair and moved on to Jon’s wife, Kate.

According to New York’s Daily News, "She is rumored to have had an intimate relationship with the family’s bodyguard, Steve Neild, who often travels with the Gosselins."

Kate has already come out to deny the claim. She said to People magazine, "The allegations they’re making about me are disgusting, unthinkable, unfathomable, and I am horrified." She explains that as a reality star raising twins and sextuplets, she and her family spend a lot of time with Neild and their security guards.

"Of course, both of them travel with us at times, and we’ve spent holidays together, because, in this situation, your circle grows smaller and smaller, and it’s very natural to become friends with your manager, your publicist, your security team … they’re the only people you have left. And now they’re coming under fire."

The seventh season of "Jon & Kate Plus 8" is scheduled to air May 25 on TLC, but with all this commotion it’s rumored that the first episode isn’t even finalized yet. Will the extramarital relationships be discussed? On a May 7 taping of "The Today Show," Kate Gosselin told Meredith Vieira, "We’re dealing with it privately." Not quite …
