Levi Johnston to Tyra Banks: Sarah Palin Knew We Were Sexually Active (Video)

Yes, it’s a minor pop-culture moment with major political overtones … but the blogosphere is on overdrive over this segment from yesterday’s "Tyra Banks Show" where she finally — hello — gets Levi Johnston to admit, yes, perhaps he and Bristol Palin, the daughter of former vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin only practiced safe sex "most of the time." He also reveals that, in his opinion, abstinence-pushing Sarah Palin was aware that the two of them were sexually active.
Just in case you missed it:

What do you mean how old is this news…the program JUST AIRED! Palin JUST issued a statement , in the statement she pretty much calls Levi on being JUST LIKE HER………an opportunis, but in his defense he took NO MONEY for his appearance and just wanted to set a record straight.
PALLIN WITH THE PALINS is the bestest show EVER…more episodes PLEASE!
Sarah Palin-Tonya Harding 2012!
OH THE SECRETS, THE LIES, THE SWEATERVESTS!!!
I think everyone had already gotten the idea that Gov. Palin’s daughter had pretty clearly demonstrated to her mother that the "abstinence only" approach to birth control doesn’t work. But it’s really wild to hear from the daddy that she allowed it to go on right in her own home! Well, this really gives her some chops as a Republican, she has proven she can practice one thing while preaching another right along with the best of them!
Actually, you can practice safer sex every time & have something happen - the protection can fail, either because of user error or malfunction. Abstinence is 100% - but only if used 100%. The problem is absence has a higher failure rate than condoms or any birth control method.
I am teaching my teenage son to use absence, but to be prepared with a back up plan. Luckily, he is still young enough that it isn’t an active issue yet. Which is part of the reason I think we should be talking about it NOW. I believe that you can’t have "the talk" with your kids. My son & I are having an ongoing conversation about growing up, sex, boys vs girls bodies, and responsibility. The really cool thing is since it is a conversation, I often learn as much as he does.
