Lily Tomlin's Ernestine Takes on Sarah Palin and Michael Vick in Animal Rights Message (Video)
‘Piper, put your mother on the phone!’ says Lily Tomlin in her latest animal-rights video.
Always ready to lend a helping hand, I dropped by at the Hollywood office of The Humane Society of the United States to shoot a video to be shown at the 23rd Genesis Awards Saturday, March 28. True to form, I did not hold back on letting my true feelings be known about my concerns for animals and the miserable treatment they so often receive at the hands of humans. Don’t get me started. Click here to find out how everyone from Sarah Palin and Mayor Villaraigosa to Michael Vick and Neal Cavuto gets the rough end of my tongue.

That was brilliant, Lily! Animals everywhere, both great and small, are thankful for someone as dedicated as you to speak on their behalf. I love that you had Ernestine making these very passionate phone calls.
Well done, as always!
Love, Amanda
You, Dice, always and forever the gentleman! I love you Dice!
I didn’t realize how much I’ve missed Ernestine until just now. What an amazing talent Lily Tomlin is.

Oh, Ernestine, brava on your defense of animals. I saw you in Fort Worth at Bass Hall in January, and I have a godsmack memory of shaking hands with you and sharing a photo. And also I gave you a photo of a location, an open shelter, if you will, which Trudy had just exited after explaining tartar sauce to a curious gentleman. I know this is all rushing back to you in technocolor.
Please tell Lily that the Dallas Zoo has purchased another elephant slated to share occupancy with Jenny in her already cramped space. Hopefully, the Zooman will recognize the error of his ways and put both elephants in the area previously designated for you-know-who’s library.
Continued success to you with the health insurance company, Ernts.
Peace and grace
You tell ‘em Ernestine! Maybe they’ll listen to you, because they sure as he@# haven’t listened to the rest of us! And please tell Ms. Tomlin that she is not only a great talent, she’s a clear-thinking, pure-hearted woman, and thank her for speaking for animals who so desperately need her supportive voice.
