Always ready to lend a helping hand, I dropped by at the Hollywood office of The Humane Society of the United States to shoot a video to be shown at the 23rd Genesis Awards Saturday, March 28. True to form, I did not hold back on letting my true feelings be known about my concerns for animals and the miserable treatment they so often receive at the hands of humans. Don’t get me started. My partner and I, being "Moms" to sixteen rescued ‘kids’ (five dogs, five cats, six birds) cheered whilst watching this clip.  Ernestine fans from ‘way back but, especially the ‘go gettin’ ‘em’! Even though we do not subscribe to organized religions, it bears remembering "whatever you do to the least of these, you do to ME"…when we will not, do not tend the best welfare of our critters (wild and domestic) how much can we care about the human condition?

Oh, Ernestine, brava on your defense of animals. I saw you in Fort Worth at Bass Hall in January, and I have a godsmack memory of shaking hands with you and sharing a photo. And also I gave you a photo of a location, an open shelter, if you will, which Trudy had just exited after explaining tartar sauce to a curious gentleman.  I know this is all rushing back to you in technocolor.

Please tell Lily that the Dallas Zoo has purchased another elephant slated to share occupancy with Jenny in her already cramped space.  Hopefully, the Zooman will recognize the error of his ways and put both elephants in the area previously designated for you-know-who’s library.

Continued success to you with the health insurance company, Ernts.

Ernestine, your word must get to all the other operators so they can also call everybody about the mistreatment of our precious animal friends by the humans who have become worse than animals. My 2 dear rescue cats have more heart and love than many humans, and I can see God in their beautiful eyes. Persevere, dear Ernestine, persevere.
