Always ready to lend a helping hand, I dropped by at the Hollywood office of The Humane Society of the United States to shoot a video to be shown at the 23rd Genesis Awards Saturday, March 28. True to form, I did not hold back on letting my true feelings be known about my concerns for animals and the miserable treatment they so often receive at the hands of humans. Don’t get me started. Oh, could this BE any more tired and unfunny?  Sarah Palin gets pounded while Michael Vicks ~dog tormentor extraordinaire~ gets a pass.  Ms. Tomlin, try to find something that really is entertaining, instead of preaching.  And yes, I know from funny.  This is not.

There have to be other more worthy targets for Lily to aim at…seems a tad lazy to shoot at Sarah at this point.  You were so funny back in the day—whenever that was.

KK & nanchan…I am also a Virgo and couldn’t agree with you more!

I have always loved Lily Tomlin!  All of her characters are hysterically funny but I think Ernestine and Edith Ann are the best!  I miss seeing her on a weekly show!  She really DOES look GREAT for her age!

You should see her in person. She looks 40 at the most. She radiates this youthful, vibrant energy that makes even ME feel old. lol

As for Virgos…I’ve always admired their intellectual critical thinking and it seems they are blessed with both good sense of humor as well as creative energy. Nearly ALL of my favorite musicians turn out to be Virgos. Which is funny because my mom is one and she drives me insane. I guess I’m only meant to admire them, not spend too much time in close proxemity with them. Heh.

Virgos are also perfectionists and can be extremely stubborn…I am both! ;-)  However, I love to laugh which is probably why I love Lily Tomlin so much!  Also, Gilda Radner was one of my all time favorites!  The world lost a great person when she passed away…:-(

I think the mom thing is just, well, a mom thing.  I don’t think it has anything to do with being a Virgo.  In fact, I think it’s part of a mom’s job to incite the insanity within her offspring.
