Lily Tomlin's Ernestine Takes on Sarah Palin and Michael Vick in Animal Rights Message (Video)
‘Piper, put your mother on the phone!’ says Lily Tomlin in her latest animal-rights video.
Always ready to lend a helping hand, I dropped by at the Hollywood office of The Humane Society of the United States to shoot a video to be shown at the 23rd Genesis Awards Saturday, March 28. True to form, I did not hold back on letting my true feelings be known about my concerns for animals and the miserable treatment they so often receive at the hands of humans. Don’t get me started. Click here to find out how everyone from Sarah Palin and Mayor Villaraigosa to Michael Vick and Neal Cavuto gets the rough end of my tongue.

Bravo! My Lady Ernestine!
Earnestine,
You go girl! I have always loved Earnestine.
Kryssi,
Lilly was not showing compassion for animals when she
used them to attack Sarah Palin who does have compassion
for animals. Sarah Palin is fighting the good old boys club
in Alaska. Just because a person is a Governor of a state,
doesn’t mean they can just go in and do whatever they want.
Alaskans live off the land and they want a balance so all
the wildlife will survive not just the wolves. Do you realize that
a jar a peanut butter in Alaska costs a person $24.00 which
we pay $4.00 for here in the states. You would be eatting Moose
Deer, and Elk to if you lived in Alaska and hunting. be thankful
you don’t have to do that.
Julia - The Department of Game makes a point to kill predators so human hunters have a better chance of shooting moose and elk. The fact is it is purely for profit and tourism. Plain and simple, and a quick review of the departments’ documents will show that - they even try to murder 60% of black bears there so they don’t kill the caribou and moose for human hunters can come and shoot them themselves.
Every single day, innocent, voiceless animals are suffering at the hands of humans. They have less of a voice than human children. At least human children can tell someone they are being beaten, starved or tortured. A pitbull chained to a box in the backyard doesn’t.
There is no reason to ignore ANY suffering. To deny relief to a creature simply because they are not included in your circle of compassion is wrong.
In addition, research has shown that humans who abuse and kill animals are more likely to abuse humans. As Jesus said:
