Lily Tomlin's Ernestine Takes on Sarah Palin and Michael Vick in Animal Rights Message (Video)
‘Piper, put your mother on the phone!’ says Lily Tomlin in her latest animal-rights video.
Always ready to lend a helping hand, I dropped by at the Hollywood office of The Humane Society of the United States to shoot a video to be shown at the 23rd Genesis Awards Saturday, March 28. True to form, I did not hold back on letting my true feelings be known about my concerns for animals and the miserable treatment they so often receive at the hands of humans. Don’t get me started. Click here to find out how everyone from Sarah Palin and Mayor Villaraigosa to Michael Vick and Neal Cavuto gets the rough end of my tongue.

I have posted this quote before, I will post it again, and I will beat the everliving hell out of it into the ground…until the day my soul is no longer associated with this F’ed up world:
"The animals of the world exist for their own reasons. They were not made for humans any more than black people were created for whites, or women for men." —ALICE WALKER
"Of all of the failings we have as human beings, I think the worst is when we fail at compassion for those in positions holding less power than we have. Whether it’s animals run down on the freeways or defenseless people with fire rained down upon them by our weapons of mass destruction or women beaten and degraded by the men they loved and trusted, or the fish of the seas trying to survive in a habitat poisoned by our waste and carelessness, to have no heart for such as these seems a sign that the person so lacking has lost their soul in the most pitiable way"
And to that quote from you Mugsy Peabody, let me add the unborn child. Whoever has a heart for that defenseless child, has a heart indeed.
Oh no, now some idiot is shooting the California Condor! http://www.insidebayarea.com/oaklandtribune/localnews/ci_12117184
I mentioned a week or two ago that I had seen some of them while driving through Atascadero. I hope they catch the evildoer soon. They are astonishing birds and very rare.
