I would have to pick three super dynamite eccentric hilariously interesting women in the persons of the late Ann Richards, governor of Texas … the stage’s great star Elaine Stritch … television’s funniest private person, HBO creative maven Sheila Nevins. Of course, wherever we would be living as roommates would probably blow up!

Ah!  I remember admiring Ms. Richards.  While I’ve never had the pleasure of seeing Elaine Stritch on stage, the few television appearances I have been lucky enough to see were really delightful.  Hah!  I can just see you all now.  Thanks for rendering such a delightful image.

Debbie Reynolds (she appeared once on the GG), Dr. Ruth, and JoMarie Payton (the mother and married to Carl on "Family Matters"). Those 3 would be multicultural and each one in their own way can be as crabby or as nice as they want. I’ll have to think on who Sophia should be.

I watched Elaine Stritch on 30 Rock last night. Her comment about the attractions of an older man who could still drive at night had me howling. God, she is funny! And, she can really *wear* a hat!

Roommates? Tina Fey, Goldie Hawn and hey, that Elaine seems like a hoot, very much a Bea Arthur stand up for yourself-type!

p.s. Liz, I was also thinking that that Alec Baldwin might certainly give Mr. Willis a run for his money hug-wise? You let me know. ; ).

Elaine Stritch, Angela Lansbury and Concheta Ferrell (2 and a half Men). I have been a fan of hers for years. She has wit charm. I first saw her in Maude, ironically playing in an ep called Florida’s Goodbye as a friend named Rita Valez. It was her first tv series. Then I remember her in the comedy series with George Clooney of E/R also with Elliot Gould and she blew me over every time. She played Nurse Thor.
