Liz Smith's Biggest Dream
In response to: What was/is your biggest dream for yourself?
My biggest dream for myself was to be onstage in New York, singing, dancing and seeing my name up in lights. And meeting famous and glamorous people. Even though early on I became convinced that I didn’t have the talent for it, I still managed to see my name in lights, to hobnob with only the best riffraff and eventually I found myself singing, as an amateur and for charity, onstage at Carnegie Hall, Town Hall, the Shubert theaters and the Metropolitan Opera stage.

I am, in the internet lingo, ROFLMAO. Thank you for starting my day with laughter!
Me too … I am 45 I want to be on the stage! Elaine Strich is my most favorite.
OH BY THE WAY …. me that dumb girl with the mixed matched sentance structure and the addiction to the bottle has actually hobknobed with all the Warhol Superstars … I also happen to own a small piece of Warhol art … I also own a huge chunk of the Warhol Superstars. HOW DID I DO IT? Well, it all started when I found this website … I hooked up with one of the posters … she gave me hope and kind words when some of the posters were making fun of me for my spelling errors.
Liz, you may not remember but you too gave me support and kind words as did Joni. And here I sit in my very nice Chi-town flat looking at one of the most beautiful skylines in all of America knowing that without WOW and two certain posters none of this would be possible.
Yeah, me … I DID IT … who would have thunk it … without the support of my sisters me and my little one would be so very lost … the kind of lost you can never come back from.
I am so very happy happy to hear that you had your moment with the grease paint crowd.
xo
All Best,
K.F.
