LIZ SMITH FLASH! Diana Ross Backup Mom for Michael Jackson's Kids?

Liz Smith
Now comes word that Michael Jackson’s will stipulates that if his mother, Katherine Jackson is "unable or unwilling" to fulfill her role as guardian to Michael’s children – page Miss Diana Ross!

Before you start giggling, please remember that Diana has raised five – count ‘em – five beautiful children who have never been in a spit of trouble. Diva she may be to coworkers, but she has been an exemplary mother. This is an intelligent choice, actually.

Is that because it’s so rural or small?

James—I grew up in a small town Upstate.  I can deal with rural and small; it’s nice to get out of the city.  The sibs who live up there are kind enough—they constantly want to know when I will visit.  Uh, it’s complicated.

I love the Hall of Fame, Kerm. And I golfed on that Otsego Golf Course in Cooperstown - one of the 10 oldest in the U.S.

MQ-C,

As I hear it, they’re talking about the Staples Center……the place where the Lakers play.

From Yahoo, I can’t make this stuff up—a great deal of people think the coverage of MJ is excessive.  Gasp.

Double Gasp.

Wowowow - take a hint. Have you counted the number of articles you have on him? It’s outrageous. Yes, you’ll reply, "Well everyone’s posting to the topics about him."

HERE IS THE REALITYWe are posting to them because there’s almost nothing else to post to.

I agree i think Diana Ross is a great choice it seems she did a great job with her children, her age doesn’t concern me as nearly as much as Katherine’s, It’s not that I’m worried katherine can’t do the job it’s the stress small children can  cause on a seventy-nine year old woman. I do believe Diana Ross DUI did not involve drugs and her history is not abusing drugs or alcohol it seems this was something that happened, hey the woman was going through some things and ofcourse it doesn’t make it right…….but there would be alot of kids without parents if we started provoking the rights of parents for drinking and driving. I think she would be a great choice

After reading this I’m thinking they need to put these kids out for adoption..in a foreign country far far away from the Jacksons….they do it for witness protection and this is a good case.

I just got back from a walk. We have a radio program locally, John and Ken. Today they’re bashing the LAPD for their involvement in the MJ funeral/public showing. I mean, this is like when they displayed King Tut. Anyway, here are the facts and estimates so far for the Tuesday soiree.

  • 21 [or more?] LAPD precincts; each has been asked to supply 30 cops plus 3 supervisors. That’s a total of 33x21 = 693 LAPD officers who normally have Tuesday off. This group will include detectives in uniform.
  • CHP has also been asked to supply officers; number unknown
  • CalTrans has been asked to supply road blocking, etc.
  • Starting salary for LAPD officers is between $56K and $76K annually [no overtime]. The lowest paid officer with the least time in service makes about $27 an hour straight time. At time and a half that’s $41/hour. Presumably they make double time beyond 8 hours worked that day.

If 700 of the lowest paid officers work 8 hours that day, the cost to the city will be  $230,000.  [And you KNOW that the costs will be significantly higher.]  All this for the pedophile parade. [That’s what they’re calling it.]

Sheesh, they ought to just make it a legal holiday because no one’s going to be able to go to work in the downtown LA area that day.

Oh yes, they’re selling tickets to the pedophile parade [the radio station’s words, not mine] for $25 each. And not one cent goes back to the LAPD or the CHP or CalTrans………

And you wonder why California is broke.
