Now it seems the Obama family and the Clinton family will both take their well-deserved vacations on Martha’s Vineyard in August. But not at the same time, say the locals, breathing a sigh of relief!

I feel sorry for these folks on this island…..both families should leave this island and go elsewhere. Very selfish.

The last time I checked this is America and they have a right to travel wherever they choose to. I don’t think the residents will be complaining. I think it’s great the former president and President Obama and family will be visiting. I’m certain they will be welcomed and treated graciously. 

Your comment is both ugly and selfish! … If all Americans felt this way everyone would stay home and never travel!

I plan to be on Martha’s Vineyard when the Obama’s are there.  Hope I see them.  I was in Malaysia a few years ago and there was a store in the mall called "Martha’s Vineyard."  Did they even know where it was??

I was on Martha’s Vineyard back in the fall.   Since there is nothing to do there it provides a quiet place to really relax and spend time with your family.   They are having a serious erosion issue with the homes that face the water.   Owners have been thousands of dollars to actually move their homes back.   Some are now moving them back for the second time. 

I hope both families enjoy the island.  The ferry ride from Hyannisport is most enjoyable.
