LIZ SMITH FLASH! Old Joe Jackson Thinking Showbiz for Paris?

Memo to the Michael Jackson family. When you allow old Joe to go about talking of how he is looking at Paris for a show business career and how he is going to raise Michael’s children – isn’t this just a setup for Debbie Rowe to seize custody from Katherine Jackson?! Joe Jackson gave an interview to ABC News that is chilling in its implications – aside from his assertions that Michael was the victim of "foul play."

The one thing Michael always made clear was how his father ruined his life. I think he must be rolling in his grave wherever that may be to think that Joe Jackson will have any say-so over these three grandchildren. Let alone protecting these poor innocents from a future in show business!

I think "Blanket" has bigger issues at hand, such as how is he going to overcome his name and have a normal life.

Do the children know that their natural mother has an opportunity to gain custody, or at least request it? if the children do know this and it is not granted to her or she does not request it, this will be a double rejection of mother in their lives, which could have devastating consequences on their psycological states. I think the whole issue is tragic.

Is Joe Jackson the greediest, most self-involved, and hateful person? His son is barely gone and he is using him to further his own interests. Does it get any lower than that? What I have heard is that Katherine and Joe are still married. What does that do to any custody of the children or handling of the estate she may get?

Michael Jackson suffered from a disease called addiction. He didn’t wake up one day and say "Oh i want to be an addict so bad!" It happened. More than likely genetic and from the family he grew up in, the pressure etc. Many brilliant and talented people suffer from addiction, Judy Garland, John Belushi, Marilyn Monroe and the list goes on. I am not saying he had no responsibility to fight his addiction, he did. But the life he led, the access to money and connections he had was a trap and he fell into it a long time ago, with sad results for himself and his family. I hope he is at peace now.
