Liz Smith, in the Heart of Greenwich Village

My favorite off the track is The Pink Tea Cup in Greenwich Village. Deep-fried bacon, fried chicken, coconut cake, soul food.

How nice to know the Pink Teacup still exists.  The writer George Trow and Michael O’Donahue, both founders of the National Lampoon, and I used to hang out there, ever so long ago.  I remember the apple pie and the laughter.

Deep fried bacon?  I just felt an artery harden.
