I am in love with Stieg Larsson’s two amazing thrillers, The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo and its sequel, The Girl Who Played With Fire.

Mr. Larsson died in 2004 at the height of his unusual success. It’s unbearable that after the sequel, The Girl Who Played With Fire, comes out in July, that will end Larsson’s amazing moment in thriller literature. The first book, The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, is outselling Patricia Cornwell and James Patterson.

Hi Liz, You DO know that there is a third and last book about Lisbeth Salander and Kalle Blomkvist? It has not been published in English yet (I am Norwegian, so read it in the original Swedish), but I am sure it is not going to be far behind the second. Yes, it was unbearable to read the book, which is EVERY bit as good as the 2 first, knowing it was the last one…will not reveal how it ends of course…

man… between Liz and Joan and now Kris… i’m headed out to get both of these books today. I’m in the mood for this kind of reading and have read everything in the genre by all the authors I like. can’t wait now!

I just ordered a used copy of The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo!  Thanks for the recommendation.  I’ve been in the thick of two non-fiction tomes lately and could use a good thriller just for fun!
