                                   THE MADNESS OF MEN

The Mad Ad Men who drink & carouse, who foster deceit,

whose peckers get limp after facing defeat,

will soon deconstruct, their just desserts looming.

And won’t it be fun to watch their demise––at least I’m assuming.

Great poem, Phyllis!  I watched the premier the other night, and wasn’t sure I liked it. So many people do, and I wonder…so this cartoon came from real life, actually.  Pop phenomena/trends as overbearing…folks bent over backwards to convince me it’s a great show. I’ll give it another chance!

Oh, I love doing little ditties to your cartoons. I’m glad you approve. Actually I love "Mad Men." Hope you can see it from the beginning––season one. It’s very well done –-a fascinating look into a slice of life during that particular time. I’ll be interested in your take on it IF you decide to give it a shot. These kinds of series tend to be good quality––"The Sopranos"; "Six Feet Under"; "The Treatment."

I often notice that I don’t enjoy what ‘everyone is watching’. I have not viewed ‘Mad Men’ myself, but I do love the magazine fashion spreads that the show inspires.

Yes, I actually loved the ad for the show, with the lead guy sitting waist high in water, about to be consumed. Said alot with a little, and with humor.  I will watch it.
