Celtics will probably play the Cavs for the Eastern Conference crown this year. The Pistons’ run of six straight conference-finals appearances will end, unfortunately. But G.M. Joe Dumars is trying to build the team back up, and will probably not re-sign Iverson and Rasheed Wallace after this season, clearing up a lot of salary-cap space for them to sign a couple young stars like Chris Bosch.
Did you see Labron on 60 minutes last night ? The underhand basket ? Crazy !!
I was never a B-ball fan but my youngest son is 6’4 -230 and got involved in travel basketball. He wasn’t a great player( music was his thing) but he and I became NUTS over Michael Jordan and that got me hooked. Then he went to College in Boston and Between the Sawx and the Celts, the rest is history. These tickets we have for Wed are supposed to be his, but he is on tour in Europe so WE get the tickets !!! Gonna be a fun week :-)
Not likely. Detroit’s got too many questions in the starting rotation, and the power-hitting isn’t what it was a couple years ago. They just released Gary Sheffield, who was awesome for a year or so. But he got hurt, and hasn’t been any good since.
I don’t know….and neither do they. They’re clearing cap space for whomever they (the Pistons) can acquire. I’m sure they’re going to let Iverson go, and perhaps Rasheed, as well, so Dumars can bring in a couple of young top-line players like Chris Bosch or whomever. That way, they can build a young team that can win for years ago, like the team that went to six straight Eastern Conference finals. That’s not going to happen with guys like ‘Sheed and A-I, who are both approaching their mid-30’s now.
College basketball isn’t my thing, but no popular sports are. I don’t even watch the Olympics. Also, college sports dominate college budgets, and libraries suffer. They should have separate vocational schools for team sports and let the universities focus on academics.
My husband likes sports so he has been following it. He is not excessive about sports, though. I, on the other hand, have no interest whatsoever. I don’t even know who’s playing. The only sport I can even tolerate watching is golf. The courses are beautiful and the players seem more civilized.

I was really glad when they got Garnett and Ray Allen, they needed the help and Pierce deserved the help.
Enjoy the ride I know we did here in Kansas last year. Your Ladies team seems to be always at the top.

Then we have Opening Day …. life is good.
No, I didn’t see LaBron’s bucket, but I’ve seen him do that kind of stuff so many times. I taught him all he knows. Ha!
I’m jonesing for Opening Day in baseball, and the NBA and NHL playoffs!
