Marlo Thomas Celebrates 29 Years of Marriage This Weekend
In response to: What are you doing for Memorial Day weekend?
May 21st was our 29th anniversary so we’ve been celebrating all weekend - a boat ride in the park, some pals for dinner on our terrace, and now biking and barbecuing in CT. 29 years! We can’t believe it. It seems more like 12. Well, on some days!

Congratulations Marlo!
Hubby and I have been together 25 and and still going strong. Our anniversary was Valentines Day (cheesy - I know!), so he has no excuse to forget the date :).
Hopefully we’ll make it to our 29th in a few years time …. Don’t you feel a bit "unusual" in this day an age with a marriage that has last this long? I know we do. One time we were at a friends wedding and they had all the couples out dancing and then made each couple sit down when the time they had been married was called - - it was so odd because at the end when they were getting near the 20th anniverary - it was just us and some really elderly couples. So embarassing and yet exciting at the same time - people were shocked that at our age we had been together so long.
Congrats again - wishing you many, many more happy days together!!!
Marlo congratulations on the day and may you have many more. Now about that question I asked 6 months ago that NEVER got answered.St.Jude like every other childrens cancer hospital has had no luck with long term survivor’s of DIPG.The Burzynski Clinic had 6 five year survivor’s in thier phase 2 trial. Now they have the ONLY PHASE 3 TRIAL IN THE COUNTRY for DIPG.I have the invitation letter sent to Larry Kun at St.Jude asking him to work with the Burzynski Clinic on phase 3 to help these DIPG children.100% death rate is UNNACCEPTABLE.St.Jude not only is not participating in phase 3, they didin’t even bother to answer the letter. As St.Jude is constantly telling the public that they are looking at all possibility’s with treating this tumor, I find thier response to Burzynski reprehensible and totally deceptive on thier part.Remember NO DRUG company presently has a phase 3 trial for DIPG but BURZYNSKI DOES.I think it is about time the THOMAS family gives the public an answer to St.Jude’s action’s.

Greetings, Marlo…and congrats on ze anniversary. And many more to you and Phil.
I am alone, as I almost always am, on holidays. My sister’s birthday was the 24th, so that was good to see her (Kim). I only have one full sibling. But this time of year always harkens memories of that terrible day, June 2nd, 1991, when Jude died.
I will mow the lawn, clean the house, watch the Detroit Tigers and try very hard not to be depressed.
