Amen! Nice girls CAN get the corner office!
While I encounter insensitive, sometimes borderline abusive women (all in senior-level positions), I always wonder who told them that gruff, curt, aggressive behavior wins the race. I’ve made it my mission to lead firmly, but with kindness and heart. The work world is hard enough without having to deal with the added stress of painful colleagues and bosses.
