Michelle Braun Accused of Running Porn-Star Prostitution Ring
Michelle Braun is accused of running an online prostitution business in a case that may ensnare celebrities like "The Wrestler" star Mickey Rourke, actor Charlie Sheen, singer Courtney Love, and former New York Yankees slugger Jose Canseco.
Braun pleaded not guilty in a California Court yesterday to money laundering and transporting a person from Orange County to New York City to pimp them out, reports The Orange County Register. It’s alleged that Braun’s travel and security business, Global Travel Network Inc., was a front for her prostitution business, which employed 71 women, including adult film stars, Playboy Playmate centerfolds and actresses. The business, which she ran for 15 years, may have made her more than $8.5 million. It came crashing down after an FBI agent posing as a client got her to transport a woman across state lines.
Sources say that Braun will change her plea to "guilty" at her next hearing June 29, and that her sentence will be six years of home confinement, probation and a fine, The Register reports. The Boca Raton mother of two is out on $20,000 bail.
Braun’s plea deal may cause some better-known faces to worry, reports The New York Daily News. Rourke, Sheen and others are named in records that are part of the investigation, although they’re not accused of any wrongdoing. In some cases, it may just be that Braun was hoping to get some of these higher-profile celebrities as clients.

CT, NanChu, you guys are funny. I’ll send you the hospital bill for when I fall out of my chair. ;) This also made me laugh.
Prostitution is the oldest game around. It has been done for hundreds of years. Excuse the expresseion, "It gets better with time". Not to mention more inventive. You’d think cops would just give up. So Mel you are also correct in what you said here.
