Who would play me? Whoopi.

Sheila Nevins's Movie, Starring ... Liz Smith?

I would like to be represented by Scherezade (sic). She is the story of my life. Telling stories to save her life. That is what I do. I would be played by Lizzie Smith who is the only one who can pull off those many veils and yarns without tripping. It would be Liz’s debut and starring role. I would (she would) spin many a tale and when she got bored amusing le roi — it is she who would behead the King rather than the other way round. This feminist twist would make the legendary story contemporary with the swirling Liz in charge of the brutal but dramatic decapitation finale. At the Academy Award ceremony for best picture based on an ancient-tired theme, Liz would accept the honor graciously acknowledging only "me" as the sole inspiration for the acclaimed film.

Who Would Liz Smith Cast to Play Her? Hilary Swank Or ...

I don’t believe we have an actress callow and immature enough to play me, but how about someone I resemble very slightly? The wonderful Oscar-winning actress Hilary Swank, who is about to play Amelia Earhart. She has that slightly tomboyish aspect. (Although when she is all dressed up, she’s a true beauty.) Or failing that, if we could bring back to life the zany actress ZaSu Pitts.

Joan Ganz Cooney: 'Little Miss Nobody From Stardom'

The actress is easy although hardly obvious: Emma Thompson (so I’d have to have a British accent). The title would be "Little Miss Nobody From Stardom," which is what my mother used to call me much to my puzzlement. It wasn’t until I got to New York that someone said to me, "The expression is ‘FROM Little Miss Nobody TO Stardom.’" Nonetheless I always liked the idea being from Stardom, wherever that place was.

Oh, I’d get to name the film about my life too? Okay: Often Chagrined.

"Tenacity" …..starring Brooke Shields……….I’m writing my memoir ……and I’ve had a very interesting life….anyone want to read it?   Any agents interested! It’s about a girl who rose above extreme dysfunctional behaviors of a family….and growing up through her experiences at a small Ohio girl’s college in the 1960’s, Europe, Greece, graduate school in philosophy, corporate life in the 1970’s in radio and the airlines and finally meeting face-to-face the dysfunctional behaviors through intense therapy in the 1980’s.   Looking back in the 2010’s,  the struggles were successful and the journey was worth the trip.

Abigail Breslin would play me as a child, complete with her thick Little-Miss-Sunshine glasses and dorky outfits … I was such a nerd.

There is no doubt about my movie, and my star.  Auntie Mame played by the one who played her best…Rosiland Russell.

Auntie Mame did it all, took chances, won big, lost big, and won big again.  And she had a ball doing it.  And so have I.

One of her lines has almost ruled my life…."Life is a banquet!….and most poor fools are starving.

Someone said the only things you regret in your last years are the things you didn’t do.  That being so, I’ll have no regrets.

The title of the movie about me would be "A Dime Short and an Hour Late".  And it would star Drew Barrymore as me.  This makes me kind of want to write the screenplay.  LOL

"Stuck in the Tunnel"  (subtitled: "No Where Near the Light at the End of It".

Tovah Feldshuh would play me.  She’s fantastic!

The title would be " Do Not need to Return, Ever"

the young me would be Peggy Ann Garner, I know no one remembers her.She was in a "Tree grows in Brooklyn" , we were like twins at that age. (She is now gone)

Adult me Bea Arthur, she was a bit taller than I but sturdy stock such as I. In my good days I can also be full of humour. ( I surely know how to pick the stars, both are gone!)

Donna, every one in our family thought it impossible that we looked so much alike, she was born in Feb 1932 and I in March same year.

I had to see the movie twice which was a luxury for us.

Southerners tell me that I remind them of Bette Midler. I would be hoping for Cybil Shepherd.  The title would have to be, A Work In Progress…   (-)

Oh Behave!

In my youth, people occasionally told me I resembled Candice!  I think they were being too kind, but I was always flattered since she’s been a fave of mine for years.  Candice and I are the same age…though I must say she’s aged much more gracefully than I.  So…in a movie about moi (actually, it would be a ‘short,’) I vote for Candice!

Sandra Bullock … because she’d be right.

Per title, I’d have to talk with my writer when we get there…I just want the empasis on the enjoyment and love I’ve found on my path…because everything is different now.

And that would be a key.

I think Holly Hunter should star in the movie version of my life, titled either Affiant Further Sayeth Not or You’re Never Going to Believe This, But…..

I would chose Katherine Hepburn because she was a strong, independent female.  Think I would title it An Indepentant Woman
