Mr. wOw Salutes a Bride

Cheers to Ivanka Trump.  She didn’t look like Grace Kelly — as some insisted — in her fabulous Vera Wang wedding gown, but she looked good enough. She is lovely, for sure, and would have a terrific figure even without the implants.

Click here for photos of the bride and groom via NYPost.

Good luck to Ivanka’s groom Jared Kushner. He has The Donald to contend with as a father-in-law. Go with God, Jared.

Miss Trump — I doubt she’ll opt for Mrs. Kushner — is an interesting young woman. She turned out considerably more assured, savvy and work-oriented than might have been expected, as the daughter of a self-obsessed gazillionaire. She is no spoilt child of privilege. Well, she is, but she’s no Paris Hilton, let’s put it that way. (Her many titles are associated with her dad’s business, but from all accounts, she doesn’t coast.)

I like her a lot, from what I’ve seen. But marriage is going to be a hell of a journey, for her and Mr. Kushner. Did I mention her father?

One tip. Stop Tweeting, honey. You are too smart for such foolishness. Please, I don’t need to know what you two had for breakfast the morning after.

I think everyone should stop tweeting and on that note whyowhy do I need to know about Ivanka’s implants?! Is that how you *salute* a bride on her wedding day, Mr. wOw? Seriously! I didn’t need to know what was under her dress "the morning after" either. I thought the bride looked absolutely stunning and that veil was a masterpiece.

Second what Eileen Alannah said. Why trivialize her by referring to an artificial body part? The is the 21st century Mr wOw; what else does Ivanka have to do to prove her seriousness and brains besides graduating from Wharton? Her mother, Ivana, is a very very hard worker and practical woman under all the hoop la who has not really gotten credit for her energy. The Donald is a showman but Ivanka seems to know how to handle him and obviously has a capable mind of her own, so I would not worry about her. I think the comparison with Paris Hilton is way off base. Yes, I know you said they were different, but the only thing they really have in common is money.

I wish her every success.

You know what, you—and everybody else who chastised Mr.Wow—are correct.  That was just pointlessly bitchy and way off-base I actually think Ivanka is a very smart cookie, an impressive young woman who could have turned out to be…a pointless bitch.  Apologies to all.

Mr wOw, it is the mark of a superior person to apologize for what he/she knows is wrong, so kudos to you.

Mr. Wow, there IS something to be said about young people who reveal personal aspects of their lives and their bodies.   That said, she is a stunning young woman who seems to have a very good head on her shoulders.   Since the divorce rate is still quite high, the chances of marriage to Mr. Kushner is 50/50 at best.   Let’s hope they put off having children until they have a firm grasp on their devotion to one another.

Ivanka certainly seems to have hooked the best qualities of both parents both in looks and in intellect.   I extend my best wishes to both of them.

Deber - so true, both stunning and level-headed is Ivanka. What a fabulous combination. It’s so nice to see a blonde in the headlines who isn’t an airhead or almost undressed.

Mr. Wow, a huge MEOW to you! Let Ivanka have her ‘Queen for a Day’ moment and leave the snark out of it. The slideshow gives us a beautiful bride who looks like she’s found a guy she is comfortable with as she deals with the legacy of being the daughter of the guy with the worst  combover. Jared’s family is heavy into real estate also - they probably have more in common than we can imagine.

Here’s to a happy future for Mr. and Mrs. Kushner!

I don’t think the statistics on divorce apply in this case, Deber, since Ivanka converted to Judaism in order to marry Jared Kushner. This is a really serious step, as converting to Judaism, if it’s an Orthodox conversion, is not a simple matter, and makes it far more unlikely that they will split. From how she selected her career path she seems like a solid and committed person. For both of them this makes it something different from the typical marriage.

Now this is an example of a woman seeing in her man, what others may not. I think Ivanka is striking. She is smart, self assured, confident and has a head for business…..AND you can tell she loves her father but loves herself more. In other words, she is not intimidated by "The Donald"

Jared may not look like the guy I would have pictured her dating, but because she is a smart woman, she is seeing something far more tangible about him then we are. I wish them only the best.

Ivanka is smart, educated and part of a generation who lives life unfiltered as they choose, whether through twitter or facebook type sites. The knowledge of experience she has already has in life through watching her parents gives her a personal balance in how she conducts her life, rich but with incredible street smarts also. Not a bad combination. She is focused and committed, if her husband continues to respect her in that space, they will do fine.

I wish them the best!  As still a newlywed myself - the first year is hard but if you truly LOVE your husband or wife - everything else falls into place.

Oh, please. She is no different from Paris Hilton.  They both are mindless creatures attempting to create the image of having a mind.  They are heiresses. They will never have to work a day in their lives. Which raises the question of why they are.

And who wants to hear about spoiled rich girls getting richer being mindless?  Live up to the image. Go win a couple of million playing  baccarat in Monte Carlo. Marry someone richer and take him to the cleaners. Then when you get older, marry a gigolo and let him take you to the cleaners. Something newsworthy.  Standing around posing is not newsworthy. Or particularly industrious on your part unless you’re a model. And no model ever made what these two are making.

Have you ever listened to Ivanka speak? She speaks with intellect, focus and not only concern but committment in what she chooses to take on. Far different than Paris, who very well might be smarter than she chooses to convey. Not all are about a bed and breakfast life of existence.

Baby you sound jealous - she may work for her father but she is not mindless and she has a college education…

Ok what does GB have to do with Ivanka?  So basically just b/c she came from money - has fake boobs and has blond hair - she has to be mindless?  Boy theres no stereo type there…
